FKS Help Please

so i have a pair of FKS 120s i just got and i need to bend the brakes to fit over a 95mm waist ski. the problem is that i am at college and i have no tools at all. i have already taken them to the local shops and they can't bend them because of liability reasons.

i was wondering if anyone with experience in bending FKS brakes could help me out. i would ship you the bindings and paypal you a small amount for your labor and return shipping costs. you would bend the brakes and then send them back to me. please understand that because i am sending you bindings without collateral, i wont let just anybody do this. i might even throw in some extra goodies upon successful return of my bindings

so please, help me out so i can get these babies mounted before the snow starts to fall. thanks ns

pm me or reply in the thread with questions

read the thread steezyjibber.

And I don't know, I'm in the same boat, I need mien to get around a 90 waist ski. We'll see what happens.

TGR dude will do it, as mentioned. Or go back to your shops and speak to the techs yourself. Slip them some beers and tell them you won't hold them responsible in any way if something fucks up and they should get it done for you. Obviously try to find someone who has bent them before, but I managed it first time no problem with no help other than the TGR thread.

yea i was gonna try over on tgr too.  i would just follow the guide on tgr but i have no tools

thanks for the help

Like, I could bend them for you, but I would just hate to snap them.

Do you know how to disassemble and reassemble them? If so, you sould just send the guy the brakes, or ride them with no brakes...

if you're in college you should have access to some kind of metal shop, either in the art department or something like that. i'm sure you could convince some metalsmith major to do it.

yeah im in the same boat, anyone know that name of that guy on tgr. i have no tools and i cant beleive no shop in summit county will do it.

that's crazy... I just took MY 179 mr's into the shop to get mounted with fks 120's and they called me and said they couldn't bend it because they "can't figure out how to do it without the brake spring falling out" sooo i'm just gonna do it myself....

my shop did it for me granted it was only for a 86 waist. like everyone said, you may have better luck on tgr or i would ask around campus. The tools are there you just have to look for them.

I needed my FKS 155's to fit 115 waist, go to the shop, bring a 6er of good beer, go right to the tech and give them the beer and however much mounting is, and tell them you won't hold them liable for anything. you'll have your skis the next day

I'll do it, you have no tools so this is different, but in general most of you guys are whiney little girls about FKS brakes, you don't even need a vice, I've done two sets in the last like 2 weeks, PM and I'll get you my address and stuff.

I'll Do It For Free...I'm A Cert. Ski Tech...And I'll Bend The Shit Till They Dont Rub At All ...And Yes You Will Let Me Know Anything Goes Wrong..yeah yeah
