FKS heel closed on my finger..

I was playing around with my rossignol fks before they were mounted. didn't end well. i hope im not the only one who has done this.
 
A guy came into our shop and did that.

After wedging the bindings open with a screwdriver, his finger had a grove pressed into it and his fingernail was totalled.
 
ive only gotten the black eye from base plates exploding in my face. guess im a rookie still.
 
Yup, I think it happens to everyone in the beginning, but since then i haven't used anything else.
 
Which part of the binding closes on your finger? I was trying to figure out on mine where it would get caught.
 
Its initiation to the FKS family..if you didnt know that and are not able to perform such initiation then go buy markers or some other crap...

But yes, this has happend to me..and it hurts like a bitch.
 
I remember reading a thread on here about a dude who closed an fks heel on his finger while driving or something, and he ended up running around a grocery store begging people for help.
