FKS forward pressure

I had a pair of skis mounted to a boot that is 1mm smaller than my new boot with fks 18s

When I set the forward pressure to my new boot it does not aline with the two tabs

My new boots have small grooves worn into the sides from the arms on the binding and 2 small divets on each heel plate

Is this normal ?

i have never set an fks with the tabs/lines/plastic piece lined up.

the better test to start is the twist test. the book says something like 'the heel piece cannot be easily rotated...with boot in binding'. but that is VERY subjective

with the fks you never know for certain until you properly test them.

take them to a shop to be sure

Dude this is the third thread that you have made on this. Both had solid replies in them. Either you don't know how to work the Internet or you have Alzheimer's.

Initial repost was an accident and I just noticed bindings are making a groove into my boot where the arms of the heel piece touch the boot, is this normal?

ah, fks strike again. this is what i was talking about in the "sweet spot" of the arms on one of your other threads. what row of rings are you on? this happened to me when my boot was significantly too big and required a remount. however, yours being only 1mm bigger than your previous it shouldnt be doing this. what boot did you come from and what boot are you now in? also, when you adjusted the fp, how much did you twist the arms to accommodate the new boot?
