Fks Forward Pressure?

I bought boots that are 1mm larger than my old boots and I can't get the white thing to be in line with the two black tabs for forward pressure on my FKS?

Im pretty sure that a lot of the time the white this is actually slightly off so.

Aha the debate continues. I was arguing that the white tab and raised black dashes are the ultimate indicator like a month ago. Anyways I've come around on the view of quoted. Really, the newer your bindings and boots are, the more accurate this system will be. The older and more thrashed it is, the more inaccurate it will be. I'd always use the white tab as a ballpark, then check the dildo angle, and how the cup of the dildo contacts the heel lug.

Double threads. Boax's post in your other thread is good to:

Go by feel of the heelpiece's rotation. From page 18 of the publicly available 12/13 Rossi/Look manual (http://www.look-bindings.com/tzr/scripts/downloader2.php?filename=T006/fichier/b0/5a/4sfl83ak7k3l):

"FORWARD PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT

The forward pressure adjustment on the FKS/Pivot bindings may take some fine tuning/adjustment.

1. Adjust the forward pressure by the two adjustment screws at the back of the heel. Make sure to adjust the screws on

the arms evenly (see photo D)

2. Latch the boot into the binding

3. Confirm that the White/Yellow tab aligns with, or is just past the two raised features on the heel base (see photo E)

4. Grab the heel piece with your right hand and if you are able to twist/rotate the heel easily, tighten the forward adjustment

(see photo F)

a. Make sure not to over tighten the forward pressure. The forward pressure is correct when you cannot lightly

rotate the heel on the boot and the heel has a strong elastic snap

5. Confirm the elastic travel at the heel and toe. If the forward pressure is too tight, the elastic travel will be negatively

affected

6. Setting bindings for individual skiers: The ski/boot/binding system must be inspected by a dealer using

testing device. Refer to pages 38-39 for testing procedures, settings and skier instructions. Refer to the

release adjustment chart on page 35."

everytime there is one of these threads i try to say this^^^^^ , but it never comes out right. especially that last sentence and how you have to look at how it actually touches the boot heel and the way it sits. could you like re send me that link you just posted here in this thread? i opened it and it didnt work, but i wanna save it for later so when another one of these threads comes up i can share it! thanks and k+

Link NinetyFour posted doesn't work because the Look website is where you download the manual from is broken (downloading a file that doesn't do anything).

Here is a picture of the instruction provided from the manual though:

3. Confirm that the White/Yellow tab aligns with, or is just past the two raised features on the heel base (see photo E

Does this mean just past on the too tight side or just passed on the too loose side

From the manual "Confirm that the White/Yellow tab aligns with, or is just past the two raised features on the heel base" which means it is correct. Really though you should take them to a ski shop and have them make sure they're setup properly.

Spending an hour or so going to a ski shop to get your bindings set up properly is way better than spending months in surgery and rehab fixing your knee.
