Fks brake problems

so i have fks course bindings on my anthems. i bent the brakes to fit and they looked like they were going to work fine. the first day i used them some how the spring got out from under the part you step on this made the brakes not work. i took them home and fixed it, it did the same thing the next time i used them so now i solved it with some wire. so thats the first problem on the other ski somehow one of the brakes snapped off, and i know with fks bindings you have to remount to replace brakes so im in a pickle..i dont know weather or not to ditch the fks bindings or look for another set of breaks. what should i do?

you don't have to remount. just be super careful when you remove the heel piece, fix the brake, and re glue when you screw it back in. As long as you are careful the threads in the core will be fine and you can reuse the mounting holes.

i bent my brakes mounted my fks bindings, then went skiing then one of my brakes broke off. luckily i have an extra set of brakes. i just took the heel piece off, put the new brakes in and ive ridden on the 10 times after ive remounted that heel piece and they're still great.

sweet deal i didnt know you could replace the brakes with out taking the hole binding off oncei find another pair of brakes ill give them a try

You do have unmount the heel to replace the brake on FKS.

Just be careful not to mess up the threads in the ski core and reuse the same holes man.

This is also why you're supposed to crank your DIN up to like 14 and never come out, why else would you ride FKS?

that sucks i have to remount..if the shop i take them to screws up the thread couldnt they just put a helicoil in and remount them? and i have not clue how it broke one day i was hiking a rail and the right brake dissapered
