today at greenwoods i saw a pair of brand new fks 155 for 250$ i thought they stopped selling these and stopped making them

they did, but you can still find them laying around if you really look. and greenwoods just bought a few pairs off someones stockpile. they dont have many of them. but i rock 120s and there the most bomber binding ever. 155 have an all metal toe peice vs the 120s wich have a px12 toe. but the 120s have verticall release so there alot safer in the park

i want gw to hook me up with a pair for like 200 or so. Cuz 280 is like way too much.

I got some sth14's for 70 tho and i like those.

haha i know.. see Henry, if you spent alot of time on NS too, you could be just as intelligent as Kyle with ski equipment.

several rumors have been going around that theyre fixing the molds and bringing back the 155, and 185. They might be releasing them mid season next year. I dont know if i believe it tho. And people say no more 120.

YAY

can anyone in the 208 bend fks breaks?

or know if greenwoods is competent in fks break bending

im way too lazy to do it and i dont have a vice

take a tube, metal tube. make sure its hollow, in other words make sure its a metal tube. then make sure its not too wide and not too narrow, it needs to fit over the brake. ski poles sawed in two are perfect. slide the tube over the break and voila, simple leverage machine. bend away bradah.

if you cant do it, just wait like 10 days, and i'll do it for you.

thanks serge but thats not how it works with fks breaks

you actually have to disassemble the entire heelpeice to bend it because if you use the ski pole method shit gets fucked up and the break just snaps

you have to take off the base plate, remove the break, remove the break spring, bend the break, put the break back, and the hardest part, put the spring back, then you have to bend back the base plate because in order to get if off it needs to be bent, then snap it back in place into the heelpiece

i have always bent my fks brakes using the pole method. heat up the metal, the reason it fucks shit up is because your exerting force on the heel mount. heat it up, you use less force. voila.

alright if you can do it when you get back from Singapore

ill hit you up if you wont break em

ill give you like 20 bucks

haha no payment needed buddy. get yourself something nice with that money. but yeah sounds good man.

lol some what

ive heard about so many fks breaks breaking that way

so ill call riley up at greenwoods

like i said before. i have a Greenwoods ski tech right around the corner from my house and im so glad i dont have to make those phone calls. but i do like to talk to Riley, hes dooope

idk if riley personaly bends breaks tho. he has one of his techs do it. and no offence serge, but dont do it that way, you will end up snapping them, or breaking/warping the baseplate. just do it yourself, its really not that much work if you have some patience takes maybee twenty mins

oh i have heard that the metal piece on the bottom gets slightly bent when a screwdriver is used to pry it off with those three little holes

but i would for sure do it myself if i had a vice, i know the basic idea and could probably do it by memory of just watchin vids on how to do it (things i do instead of homework)

but im just worried that without a vice i wont have any thing to actually bend the breaks with

i just need like 15mm on em so they fit a 95 waist, maybe ill rig something like a vice up

none taken Kyle. youve chased down my skis countless times to know how much i care about my bindings haha. but those are salomons. fuck i hate those things.

i love my salomon binders, and ive never had too chase one down or had one break. the only binders ive had that broke were Looks and Rossis.

2 CENTS

thanks, i would love that

and my z12's snapped in half three times

i got sth 14's and im happy with them, even tho people say 16's are the only decent ones

and serge nice icon, yours is second to stevens

kay i google imaged, i did not mean z12. i forgot the z12s were the binders i have on my Halls. im talking about the old Salomon bindings. i have no idea what they are called. maybe its an older model of the sth. or is the sth a new model? ive no idea, i dont pay attention to what salomon bindings are called because i had so many problems with them on my Halls. anyone that has been with me skiing on them can vouch. i fucking hate those things. but thanks to Pedersons i wasted a remount when they refused to true center them the first time regardless of my having good reason to mount them true and dont want to switch them out.

but yeah, not talking about these:

i hate those fucking things.

my bad.

the only good salomon bindings were the old 916s. but they quit making them. and the sths are basically the new 916s same design. but fuck salomon as a whole they make shitty bindings/ shitty skis, and have horrible customer service

ehhh, i dunno about that one. Salomon makes pretty quality skis and there binders use to be orgasmic but now there binders are shittier then bindings then we had back when people skied on leather boots n shit.

straight up though. there customer service you just gotta try your luck, i've had friends send in skis that were 2 years old and get sent a pairs of next years skis that arent even out yet.

thats what i was looking for. my friends have lasted for years and are on his Seths to this day. fucking bombproof.

this just goes to show how Salomon continues to sell itself out in my opinion. cheaper products yeah, but definite drop in quality over the years. also why i dont like Dumont. i used to love the guy, but he just seems to be selling himself out like crazy. sure im cool with sponsorships from target and all that, thats not the point, but now all this dude is about is sponsorships and competition results. like he doesnt even pull out his skis just to go skiing anymore, its all business to him. crazy shit. no hate, just the way i see it.
