for agressive skier, 6'1", 170lb is the 120 enough, or should i go 155?

for reference i have been on a pair of z912's at 9 or 10 ish and have been fine all season.

based on what?? If he is doing fine on z-series sollys, there is no reason to be on a 155. Sounds like in this case, the 120 toe would be preferable.

Running a 10 din on a 15.5 din binder would be better than a 12. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I coulda sworn i read something about how running a din almost to its max is bad for the springs...

i believe i know what you are talking about, but from what i remember, running it at 10 on a 120 is not considered "too close" to its max. running it at an 11 would be, as would running it at 12 obviously. could be wrong though

when its that close, it would seem that he could run it at 9 and be fine since hes done it efore and not had problems. plus, he would keep the safety of the vertical release toe on the 120

I had the 185s on my 4frnts, im 6'3" and weigh like 185... i had them at like 13 din or so, and still popped out, felt a little sketchy tho with the 185s, i would go 155 if i go another pair... sick bindings/heavy as shit.

get the 150, its nice to have the higher springs and the toe piece is also race stock so they will last a lot longer

the toe releases vertically.......

The two front wings on 120's and axial/px actually rotate. they're connected in the middle to the main part and spin up or down like the propeller on a plane. It doesn't look like there's any room but if you fall hard enough the right way they will. Then after you fall the wings will be facing up and down instead of side to side and you just have to step on them with your ski. Its a nice feature if you're riding park and worth considering if you do not need the extra din.

Very nice feature indeed, a friend of mine broke his leg just above the bootcuff (over-rotated a backflip) because the toe on his bindings wouldn't release vertically...something to think about.

Ahh, I've had plenty of those, I fucking hate vertical releases. When you land switch leaning a bit too far back they always blow off then.

so basically the trade-off between the 120 and 155 (apart from din-range) is plastic toepiece with vertical release v. metal toepiece without vertical release?

Correct... and it the 120 toe peice is pretty damn tough... hence why i went with 120s for my park skis

If you are not dropping bombs in the park. go with the 120 most falls in the park are back slappers and if you are not going fast and furious you will get unlucky once and blow your ACL if yi ou are charging it Cheers! get the 155

well i got p12s now and i dont like the px series, so if im happy with the durability of the p12 toepiece, is it fair to say the fks120 toepiece is going to be similar (construction/durability)?
