fixing poles

Hey i broke my poles this weekend at 7 springs and had to ride with 1 pole the rest of the weekend, which sucked, but i almost got used to it. Anyway, what are some ways to effectively fix my poles so i dont gotta drop money into new ones? They are in two pieces about half way down the shaft. Oh and they are aluminum not the carbon composite.

Spend $20 on a pair of cheap poles, you fucking loser. Or go see your friendly local ski patrol, and contribute $5 to their beer fund for a pole that is about the same size as your other non broken one. Chances are they'll have a stash of lost/fallen off the lift/'I broke one pole, take the other' poles. Problem solved.

Bahahaha... or, you could call it the 'elitist snob' cult. Anyways, my family already owns a country club, so no thanks.

Not really a good idea to fix them, but you can take a piece of round wood (like a broom handle) and cut it down to fit inside both halves of your pole. You'll want about 6-8 inches to go inside both halves. If you get the wood tight enough you wont need tape and if it's not too terribly loose you can use super glue to hold it together.

Yeah rental poles. Makes no sense at all to fix or buy new ones... Better off renting shit every time you go skiing.

What the hell kinda answer is that?! Wake up kid.

he probably meant steal rental poles you moron, but thats not a good idea. Just take a pair from you little brother or sister or some kid, short poles are better anyway i think.

I ski Killington

College passes are awesome

no younger siblings

i know i can buy new poles and i know i can steal a pole, but im trying more for the whole fix-the-ones-i-already-have thing

Short poles are better anyway? Either you never leave the park or you only ski out east. Anyone in thier right mind gets thier shit the right size.

how about you find one of your friends old poles put your grips on them and baskets if you want and cut them down to fit you(not rocket science) and if you bent your pole they should have something to bend it back in the rental shop at your mountain if not bend it back your self but only do it so its bent but you can still use it so you dont break it

just take thg grips off and but the cheapest pair of poles u can find

bsmith - if u really don't wanna take any chances heat them first, but otherwise just bend them into shape over your knee. also for on hill pole repair hitting them against a tree works.

Ski under the lift and pick up some. People always drop them, and are too lazy to get them.

Ski. Eat. Sex. Sleep. Ski.
What else is there?
