Can anyone give me some advise on fixing this? It is not too deep around 8mm so i dont know if the core really took any damage i am kind of a rookie in that regard. when i got home from skiing i imediatelly cleand the dirt that was in there out (kind of) and put them in a warm dry place to keep them as dry as possible.

Is it a good idea to just fill it up with epoxy bacause i cant really get any base welding stuff. I have ptex at home but i heard that it doest really stick to metall and other stuff.

so please if anyone has any advise for me i am open for everything.

use some rubbing alcohol or base cleaner on the area where you will fill it in with ptex. melt the ptex with an iron or something like a hot plate (lighting it on fire tend to get shittyer results) then scrape, wax and pray. or just epoxy it right now, easier fix tbh

Do you think that i will notice if i just epoxy it because epoxy is a bit stickier.

also im scared that if i only use ptex im going to rip out my edge.

I had a similar core shot, it was a bit deeper but I put in some epoxy then ptex on the top of the epoxy. It’s been going strong for almost 2 years

when did you put the ptex on? did you let the epoxy dry out or did you do it sooner? also how much of the hole did you fill up with epoxy?

I used some 24 hour marine epoxy and let it fully dry out. But I first sanded down the core shot a bit so the epoxy was easier to put in. I tried to do my best at leveling it out just below the base with sandpaper after it dried, about 4mm into the base. The ptex on top.

Because its on the edge, I'd epoxy this to prevent the edge from ripping out. Prep is key: let it dry out fully, wire brush/sand it down a bunch, do it indoors so its warm, and use a good epoxy for the job like G-flex or any other adhesive specifically made for metal, thermosets (fiberglass laminate in your skis), and thermoplastics (base material).

I usually use a lot and smooth it flush with a scraper so I have a flat epoxy surface (and file it down after if needed). Heads up if you epoxy it flush, ski shops might not want to work on it, depends on the shop.
