So, new single speed in the works. Front or Back Break? the breaks are brand new and both have alot of life left. I'm leaning towards just front,(yes i will ride it before i dispatch it. Any one use just the front? And yes, im doing this all for just aesthetic/ simplicity

ive seen multiple crashes from hipsters not being able to handle their fixes coming down hills. They fucking bomb down the steep hills of SF and then either washout when braking(the only way to brake on a fixie at speed is to skid) or dont stop in time and hit cars, or nealry hit cars.

its fucking dangerous in a hilly place. just get a freehub and throw some brakes on.

Yep, only way i would ride a fixie is around town not in a hilly place. but yeah im more of simgle speed kinda guy.

I along with many others ride only a front brake on a FIXED GEAR because my legs are my back brake. Single speed bikes need two brakes.

Your front brake accounts for about 3/4s of your 'stopping power', doesn't mean its not stupid.

It has a short wheelbase. That is the point of a pursuit style frame. The reach is still long since ur ass is way above the handlebars

I've got a Masi special fixed in Orange and it's been very well ridden and showing some nice patina (and some not so nice marks around the head tube from a drunk long weekend forgetting my lock and having to resort to a chain and padlock) and I'm thinking of maybe getting my friend to sharpie doodle on it all over the frame, then clear coating over it all.

Either that or stripping it down to bare metal, and a simple masi logo somewhere on the frame and fork, then clear coating
