Fix My Ski Rack!

Sooo I go to put my ski rack on my car and the 4 bolts on the racks are completely rusted so that they won't loosen or tighten so I'm like fuckkkkkkk. I went out and bought some stuff similiar to WD-40 that claims to loosen rusted parts etc.. and it worked on two of the bolts but there's still two left that it won't do shit to.

I figure the best way to fix it is to find similiar bolts and cut off the existing rusted ones and replace them altogether but before I go and spend any more money on it does anyone else have any tricks to free rusted bolts?

E-Z Outs (extractors) should do the job. You can find them at your local hardware store, most likely.

Would have worked if I was dealing with screws but sadly I have a bolt with a nut rusted on it. I think I really only have one option after further lookin and that would probs be either sprayin WD 40 and doin the shit that needs to be done for that or cuttin the bolt off and finding a replacement. o welllll better than payin near 200 for a new one

pb blaster and hit/tap it with a hammer. PUtting heat to them works really well also (those small torches)...or just cut them off completely with torches

Exactly this. PB Blaster, heat and tapping it with a hammer will get it loose. Have patience, it might take awhile.

This where having a ski rack/working on ski racks would help out, I guess.

or if they break off at the head, you would have to drill and tap the hole for a new bolt
