Fix DV tape footage

For one reason or another, most likely from using a dry lubricating tape in a camera that is supposed to use wet or possibly from dirty heads one of my DV tapes has the classic bars when I play it back. It's not a lot though. Is there anyway to clean this up or fix it? I cleaned the heads on my camera, would trying to capture with different types of cameras maybe help?

Sorry to say, no. Chances are you've just got a junk tape, and if you can reshoot it you probably should. Drop-out sucks, but it's still cheaper than using film

Q-tip and rubbing alcohol to clean the head (that big shiny thing)

rewind and play it over a few times?

my camera does that sometimes but i dont know exactly how to fix it

Props on the orange name honor LJ!

Either you have dirty heads or it was a bum tape. Either way your footy is probably fucked...
