Fix carbon pole

Last Sunday I fell on my new 100$ pair of cabon poles. The center of the pole is hollow.

I tried yelling and screaming at it but it didn't really give the result I needed.

Does anyone have any GOOD idea for fixing it?

Responsability,what's that?

get a piece of aluminum dowl (home depot) that will fit

inside poll snuggly. cut it about 3' long. squirt some pl

premium construction adhesive (stuff will hold anything together for ever) in one end of pole. slide dowl in. let dry over night and repeat with other end.

will last forever. If your worried about poles being different weights, do the same to the unbroken pole.

i just did the same thing to my poles. but they arent carbon or cost 100 dollars, they are alluminum, im thinking of trying the dowel thing too

If you paid $100 for a pair of poles, they probably came with some kind of breakage warranty. I wouldn't bother trying to fix them. They'll never be as strong again.

take em back to the shop. They'll be your best bet for help (warrantee or repair... or maybe replace for cheap... dunno)

I did pay full price. The poles are worth 100$,I paid 50.So There isn't really a warrenty on them...

Try and Warranty them somewhere, cause thats crap

get some fiberglass wrap (available at home depot)...the 'boat grade' fiberglass is best for this. Also, get epoxy that is rated for GLASS/FIBERGLASS BONDING. Slather the fiberglass fabric with the epoxy, and wrap the pole where it has broken. Make sure you wrap it tight enough so the pole maintains its rigidity. After it hardens, you can cut/sand the excess off.

Its strong enough to do minor repairs in boat hulls, so it should work OK for your poles. They will eventually break again, but this is your LIGHTWEIGHT solution to fixing them
