Fitting into boots that are too big

Alright, so I bought a new pair of salomon x wave 8.0 boots which are SICK, but are 1/2 a size too big for my feet. I bought them off steepandcheap for 400 dollars under the retail price, so the deal was sick. But, they are a tiny bit too big! Any tips for making my size 11 foot fit into an 11.5 size boot? Thick socks? Any other tricks?

no offense but buying boots cheaply that don't fit your foot is a waste of money, in my opinion. If you can't ski comfortably, then don't wear that boot. just sell those off, and buy a pair that fits you.

yea it was really dumb of me i know. What was REALLY dumb is that my old boots were 28.5, and i bought a 29. Yes it was really dumb i know. I might just try to sell them and pick up a different pair, we'll see

my spks packed out so much that I put the flat shitty stock insole back under the superfeet insoles that I have and have both insoles in now which snugs em up real nice.

You should definitely return or sell them if you aren't 100% already going to do that. They will pack out and too big of boots is probably the worst thing you can have. BTW, I wear 27.5 technicas, and my feet are a size 12 if not 12.5. Maybe you should try smaller boots, but mine are packed out from 3 years use too.

yea im returning them, and luckily SAC and/or backcountry.com are matching my price and exchanging them for the right size. They are a sick website, customer service is awesome, they responded like right away and have a "live chat" where they help you out wiht everything. Sick
