Fitted boots resell help

Hey team..

Last season I purchased a brand new pair of Salomon x pro 80's and had them fitted in store (foot beds and heel raises) because of the fitting done does this mean the boot will not be able to be re sold.. or will I be able to sell the boot but just have to let the buyer know that it needs to be re-fitted?

Cheers in advance, and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Were the shells modified (stretched or Custom Shell-ed) in anyway?

If all you had done were footbeds and heel lifts then the boots are 100% resellable. Just remove your footbeds, put some basic ones back in, and remove the heel lifts.

What did they do? You would not normally change anything when just adding a lift.

Originally a lift was added.. then they needed to add more lift so I believe that they cut into the shell to allow for this

I doubt they did anything like cut the shell. In Most cases when a heel lift is used it's to reduce volume or to aid in flexing so you should be fine to do as onenerdykid said above and just remove your footbeds and heel lifts from the liner.

All I remember them saying was there was an irreversible customisation made to the boot.

I really don't know what that could be for a heel lift. If you are worried go show them to a shop and see what they say but there are not many things you can do to a boot that are truly undoable. Was it maybe getting the boot made more upright? If they altered the cuff to give a more upright stance that could be irreversible.

I think I'll just take it to a shop like you suggested because I'm really unsure. Thanks for your help, Tom.
