i don't know how many people on here are into fishing but its the summer time so i know a few of you atleast gotta throw out a pole every once in a while. so i felt like starting a thread on fishing. mainly bass fishing but any kind will do. post pictures and discuss what you use and whats good at your local ponds/lakes.

caught in ms with a watermelon colored 8 inch senko. caught about 4 today in a half hour. all 2-3lbs.

what kind of pole do you have? i use a flash light, a 12 gauge, and occasionally a toaster. caught 112 fish in one pond the other using the good ol' toaster trick

a guy i work with reeled in a 6ft 80lb sturgeon over the weekend... said it took him 45 min to get it in the boat...

thats a pretty nice fish man. i go all the time its such a blast to just chill, catch some fish, and watch the sunrise/sunset. here's one that i caught last summer, none this big yet this summer:

4lbs caught on a spinnerbait.

caught on lake george about two years ago. biggest smallmouth i've ever seen in person. and i hooked up a little ways north up the lake in between two islands where a rock met the surface in the middle. smallmouths love those rocks. caught with 4inch senko i recall.

haha thanks man. you had some pretty sick ones too. i had a picture of a 48 inch striped bass that i caught, but for the life of me i cant find it anymore. that was a pretty fish

man i havent been to cape cod since i was like 4. i also havent really gone ocean fishing because i get horrible sea sickness. hoping to break that with some dramamine on a fishing trip in july in ocean city, md.

i do have do some in-shore gulf and bay fishing around here. catch everything from red fish to eels to flounder. flounder taste so fucking good

i get sea sick too, that time wasn't bad but i went again last year and it was brutal, we hardly caught anything either, not fun at all
i've hauled out stripers that big with a fly rod though, that's the fun thing to do, i stood on the beach in provincetown harbor with my uncle and we were pulling out massive stripers close to shore with saltwater rods

thats the only fishing pic i have on here right now, but on the same day i caught a nearly 5lb smallmouth too

i usually use 5/6 inch watermelon senkos texas rigged
and yo check out this site http://cbshawgsauce.com/they sell scents and dyes for soft plastics and it works like a charm

c-c-claim thread, turn to face the claim. C-c-claim thread! - Journey's post on NS

anyway, yeah I fish. Out with a knee injury this spring, so I've been fly fishing most days. Just got a fat 15 stocked rainbow trout today, really fun. Going up to maine camping/fishing in few weeks, Anyone on NS fish the Kennebago? Only been fly fishing a year and a half, but been doing saltwater alll my life.

Mostly inshore saltwater for bass, blues and fluke, with the occasional schoolie bluefin or albie. Been cod fishing offshore on party boats a few times, but very poor fishing for everyone on board. Very hit or miss. And I'd like to try stripers on a fly. My dad has a 22 footer center console, so ideal for it.

I have a picture (print) of me at 14 with a 32 pound striper and it pretty much dwarfs me, of course I had a grin ear to ear. I'll try to upload somehow.

Hopefully working on a commercial trawler this summer too.

he's a fly fishing guide for orvis and i was standing next to him mimicking him, but whatever, you're just looking to bust my balls, it's okay, as long as i know it happened it's cool with me :)

didn't mean your post so much as the entire thread. No, I quoted because I want to start salt water fly fishing, not on a ball busting agenda.

Caught that guy from the kayak on a local lake in eastern PA.

What kinda ocean fishing are ya doing, I'll be down around ocean city in mid july.

some kind of fishing charter. probably a few miles out. whatever is biting. just want to get some good filets when all said and done. i'll be in ocean city around the 6th or 7th of july for like 3 days. i was supposed to go to lake george but the plans got squashed due to all the islands being reserved

HUGE claim because i cant find any pics but my dad and brother got a 500 pound mako one day when i didn't go, that was a beast.

i know man, they're dead. i'd rather keep it on the nsg so if you want to post a pic two weeks from now when the thread is dead, someone might see it

That sounds cool, it's been years since I was out on a deep sea boat. Sucks though I'll be down there surf fishing and camping the following weekend in DE. I'll post pics if I get anything good. Should be lake fishing in the ADKS in about 2 weeks, so hopefully I'll have some luck up there too.

Just ignore the stupid color swap setting I had on the cam. The fish still looks good though.

Caught that surf fishing with NS's own PAPASTEEZE. /claim

im the guy who is not holding the guy holding it is like totally obsesed with fishing and when i caught that he went ape shit and got lke 0 pictures with it lol i dont have one of me holding it on the internet

Lake george is the tits.

Are you talking about up near juanita/turtle/glen/uncas island area (motherbunch?)? Thats where I usually camp. Really good fishing up there.

my biggest bass to date is a 7 1/2 pound bass i caught at spruce run resivoir in central new jersey, i caught it on 8lb test and i had a minnow and we were trolling. My biggest fish i ever caught was a 52lb wahoo in cancun, ive been fishing alot this summer, and have been catching loads of bass, went today in the pouring rain, caught one small bass, and one like 2 and a half pounder using a jersey rig, ill have to find the pic of the 7 1/2 pound bass and scan it onto my computer

yeah up around all those islands. i camped on phelps island last year early june and we had the whole island to ourselves. that island is the best imo. i think i could that particular smallmouth on a rock straight out in front of hen and chick, that litle island

Claim: i won largest large mouth bass at a fishing contest and have a trophy to prove it, though our lake is shit. Also i caught 60+ rockies in under 4 hrs when i was like 10, they were all under 8 inches though, our lake is like that...so many rock bass, and they are all so small and so easy to catch off the dock.
