so im looking to get a fisheye for my camera. im mainly filming skating and snowboarding. anyone know of a qaulity fisheye no more than 70 dollars. also a legit site to buy it from would be helpful

if you buy it off ebay and specifically search for fishey for canon zr600 most those sales will come with an adapter ring for fisheye so it will fit your camera.

when i had my canon zr200 i bought a fisheye off ebay and it was a pretty legit lense

thanks. yeah pretty much right after i posted the demon fisheye io looked it up on skateperception and everyone said it sucked

Yep thats a good site to go to if u ever want to know something.Everyone knows everything on there.I go on there alot.

You're going to be able to find just about anything camera related on B&H if you search around a bit.

That lens is not a fisheye, it's a wide angle. Kenkos are ok, but if you want a fisheye, get this one:

It's basically a step below the $300 Century Baby Death lens. Take out the Macro when you get it if you want to significantly increase the width of the lens. I would personally save up and get the Baby Death, since the difference between the Kenko and that one are like night and day. But it's your choice, if you're looking for a fisheye and you need one right now, this would be your best choice.

Sorry about the double post, but theres a coupla things I still need to clear up.

Don't get the Demon Fisheye, the stills they use on their site are not using the actual fisheye and they don't use glass, they use hard plastic (like Raynox). The actual lens is similar to a modified wide angle and looks like shit.

This is the step ring you're gonna want to get if you need one for a 28-37mm:

Hope this helps.

just curious as to how you find out what size fisheye you need, ya know like the 30mm and stuff. On my camera it says 60mm on the lense, so would that be the size i need? or is this something different.

im pretty sure the 60mm is different if its like some #-60mm. im not sure how you tell agasin someone just told me. what camera do you have im sure someone could help you.

and with the set up with the fisheye and step up ring posted above do you think id get much vig?

ya it is the #-60mm thingy and ya i had a feeling it wasnt the right thing. But ya i got a sony trv-340. Pretty crappy camera but w/e i might not even have to use it much cause im gunna try and get to use my local TV station's cameras.

Get the Raynox. The one steezed posted isnt even a fish eye.Its a wide lense which they dont really widden to much. There is nothing better then the raynox for ur camera besides the baby death lense which is really worth buying for a 1-chip camera.

you want to find the lens that is closest to your ring size. if your using a fairly large stepup ring, you wont be getting the full viewing potential out of the lens. most small dv cameras are around 28mm, regular dv cameras are around 37, and most 3 chips with large lenses are around 58

ive heard of that. never read any reviews though. also dude if you dont get a proper fitting one just get an adapter ring
