fish eye lens

hey i am gonna get a lens for my sony video camerra but i dont know what kind to get fish eye, wide angel or telescopic. which one should i get and why?

 
telescopic isnt a fish eye lense first off, telescopic would give you a narrower view but look as if you were closer, what you are prob looking for is a wide angle lens, a wide angle is about .5x and will give you a wider view, a fish eye is a specific type of wide angle typicly .3x and smaller, and is refered to as such because of the distortion typical with this type of lens, now you have to decide if you like the fish eye look, it is not too popular with skiing, more so with skating, or a wide angle, also factor in, what size lens you need, 38mm, 52mm, 58mm??? and how much you wana spend lenses go anywhere from 50 for a cheap plastic lens to 1000+ for a death lens by centry optics,

I'm using a 0.43x FishEye lense for my cam... Works fine but it's really fisheye style... I have a Wideangle has well which works very good for wider view.

just get a kenko fisheye, theyre like 50 bucks and on some cams theres no vignetting

yeah the kenkos good for the money buy it here

its a good amount of distortion, i have it and i love it..its good for urban rails and such
