could anyone tell me about the x17 cuz i cant find anything, iv heard mojo 15s are good and griffons are unknown but leaning on the bad side because they are all plastic.
griffons are most expensive the other two are exactly the same price.
does head and fischer pay tyrola to make their bindings because they look similar to tyrolas.

they will be going on 09 bacons i am 5'11" and 166lbs.what do you think the best binding would be?
+k for help

yea fishcer and head have their bindings made by tyrolia. you picked the three best bindings, IMO (well, sth 16 too). it depends on your weight. if you need a 17 din binding, go for the fischer. if you dont need that much beef, i owuld go for the mojo 15 just because it is burly as hell

I am interested too just because ive never really seen or skied on any of the tyrolia bindings. I know tyrolia has been around a while so i would imagine they have their shit straight.

the mojo 15 is my favorite binding i've ever used. i've skied just about every binding out there except the griffon/jester too. plus the 09 mojo 15s got even better.

has anyone on here ever had a problem with tyrolia/head/fischer binding rip out? how many screws mount them in the heel and toe?

X17 and Mojo 15 are essentially the same bindings, just with a different DIN range. I have a pair of Mojo 15's on my Firstbloods, and I'm puttign a pair of X17's on my Donner Party's. Truely teh best bindings out there. I'd prefer even more than a FKS for teh simple reason of brake hassle, other than that, FKS and Mojo's have treated me equally as well.

what do you mean about the brake hassle? I really think im gonna be using some x17's this coming year... or some mojo15's. Are the toe and heel peices all metal or are they plastic?

the FKS brakes are super complicated and hard to find, and hard to replace once you find them. or harder than like salomon brakes. still really good bindings tho

i figured it had to do with them being a pain in the ass to bend, replace and all that kinda stuff. im definatly considering a tyrolia made binding. everything sounds good about them, but i am waiting for a response about the materials used if its mostly metal or plastic or what

the head and the fischer are identical except for the din range. I've been using fischer x 17's for three years now and never had a knee injury. i used to tweak my knees alot with salomons and markers, becuase i had to run the dins higher. with the fischers, i can run a lower din, which is much safer.

go with either, most likely the mojos because most people don't need a 17. in terms of durabliity, never had an issue. and i've had 3 pairs, and have yet to sell any of them. they are soo dope.

hope that helps.

I've got the 07 Mojo15's as well as the 08 Mojo15's. Both are great bindings, tough as nails, and I have never popped out of them prematurely. They have always popped off when they are supposed to.

I just got new sticks and I'm thinking of getting another pair of 08 Mojo's for them instead of the 09 Mojo15's because I think the 'improvements' they made on them might have made them a little less burly. And they are like $50-80 more expensive then the already perfect 2008 models :)

definitly legit bindings, they are real light too for being a higher din binding. and the tracks are all metal so it wont crack like some other kinds. i rock a pair or elan 15din on my ruby's whichare the mojo 15's with another name on em. and it is a super light setup. also they must be doing something right if both amplid and 4frnt switched from vist to them(tyrolia)
