Fischer claims "the worlds only real twin-tip"

the original 1260 was symmetrical. i think it was out for two seasons before they changed it from that.

i think it was either the first white 1260 or the orange ones with the dj on em that where real symetrical twins, but actually there were some ancient wooden ones that i believe were completely twin and symetrical

it was a good concept for a commercial but the editing sucked. the music did not match the video at all and all you heard was the sled which got annoying above the music. And yeah, the invader is a symmetrical twin that can be mounted either way.

You know what'd be awesome? If Line went ahead and exercised their patent rights in regards to the "real twin tip", and launched a lawsuit against Fischer. Line has NEVER done so, and has NEVER actually bothered enforcing their patent, but they should make a big, big exception for Fischer, just to make a point and to make an example out of the euro idiots running Fischer.

Note to Fischer: You didn't come up with shit. Line did. Consider yourselves lucky that Line is generously letting you use their intellectual property. And on that topic, K2 now owns them (along with their IP), so you might wanna pay a little respect where respect is deserved...

no, a lawsuit would be gay, it would probably set a precedent and lots of other ski companies would be scared of innovation fearing a lawsuit from line. But we should all write emails to fischer informing them

It takes a lot of money to enforce a patent. Line wouldn't gain much from enforcing it after their court fees and stuff like that.

Why the hell would you really want that anyways? Think about it, when your center of gravity changes when you go switch, as you really cant reverse your knees or anything. It seems like different stresses would be put on the skis when you do that, and they wouldnt be the same as if you were going normal. So, why would you want the tails and tips symetrical?

im not sure if i would agree considering we dont bend the same way or distribute weight the same riding switch as we do regular, as rowen mentioned

yah, but with an equal tail length, it doesnt seem like the nose is as long when ur rideing switch. if it was a short tail, it wouldnt flex as well over bumps and crud. and when i had my first twins mounted back from true center, it seemed like they always wanted to spin me so i was faceing forward when i was switch and turning, not so with my center-mounted skis

hey nomensteven, stop being such a fuckin turbo. every one of your posts in here is bullshit.

fischer deserves to be sued over this, plain and simple. there's only one thing they could mean by claiming the addict is the "worlds only real twintip". it's blatantly obvious that they are ripping off line and their patent, which has been around for years and years. you just can't do that. i hope they have to pull that ski from storefronts this fall after claiming what they did.

doesnt line have the patent for having both the nose and tail being equal hights plus there is the invader soooo yeah its false advertising but a good commercial besides that

who cares about their very general statement advertisers have been masking the truth for years, that video on the other hand is hilarious.

this just in nomensteven: your full of shit. stop acting like you know whats up and talking out of your ass. this thread pretty much epitomizes your online personality, you dont know whats up, so stop trying....

yeahhh.... but the fisher factory is the biggest ski factory in the world, the make pretty much any ski that comes out of austria so some crossover is to be expected. im 99% sure they make atomic race skis there too, so maybe its actually a triplet....

what do we have here? about 5-6 grammatical errors within 5-6 words. so i have a hard time believing anything you say. claimer.

Once again I would like to point out that attacting someone on their grammatical errors is childish and pointless so shut the fuck up. You've ran out of things to flame with so you've resorted to insulting his character, real cool buddy.

this is true. a ski tech even told me they made a binding that could spin. one way it was true center for the park and then you spun it and the nose was longer for carving.

that was the original black and white mad trix from 2001/02 or whenever. the ski was not symmetrical. you could rotate the binding so that it was mounted farther back with a wider nose, or closer to center with a wider tail. i dont know why the hell you would want a wider tail?

no, cause im pretty sure one of the Armada skis had the nose and tail being equal hights on like jp vs. julien or the ANT, i cant remeber which one.
