My buddy was looking at the local shop for pair of twins and I was giving him the deal on Armada, 4frnt, K2, Dynastar, Volkl, etc.. But I had nothing on the Fischer Big Stix. Do very many people ski on them are they any good?

Fischer just came out with the Big Stix 8.0 at the middle of this season. I've heard that it's a stiff ski. It's the second of Fischer's two twin-tip models, the other being the Airstyle NT. I ride a pair of the Airstyle NTs and I love 'em. They are kinda stiff too and when I first got them, I was kinda sketch on whether they were actually twin-tips cuz the tail didn't come up off the ground that much... but there's no problem riding switch.

It's not a jibber ski. It's not soft. So if you're one of those jibbers that can't ski....that can only jump and slide rails then one of the Big Stix will own your ass!

If you can ski, you'll love them. More of a traditional flex pattern, no noodle tail.

BTW, they aren't twin tips, although the tail isn't completely flat.

DUDE 106'S KICK ASS. that being said, its kinda of a twin, in ski movie 2 you see mcgovern (when he was sponsored by them) jib on 106's. fischer is just now getting their shit together, i rode the chair at baker with their only freeride team member, i talked to him for a bit about how they are in the process of redefining their image/market. cool guy, very humble. i then proceeded to see him huck the shit out of a 45 footer and stomp the living fuck out of the landing. 106's baby, almost makes maching pow too easy - amazing on corn too
