Ok so i have to get my first job next fall and i was wondering where you guys got your first jobs. i was thinking about just being a shelf stocker at albertsons or maybe starbucks. but no fast food unless its subway. so what were your first jobs?

I was the drama instructor at an arts camp last summer. it was pretty sweet. It was my frist job... now im trying to figure out where im going to work this summer. I hate job searching.

teaching little kids how to do rolls at the gymnastics centre. i would just teach them corked 5's into the foam pit though. it was mad fun. I was 14, and still am 14.

first job this summer, me and my friend are working at this trucking joint his dad works at. its gonna be tight. $9.50/hour for 40 hours a week (same hours his dad works) plus if we work weekends we get time and a half. im gonna buy a dirtbike and a session at high north next year.

depending how old u are, get a paper route. mad cash for like 1 hours work. or if you wanna make rediculous money get some soort of construction or shop job. long hours but when you see the 000's on the pay check you'll love it

When I was 14 i got a job at the local Grociers store. I was bag bitch for a year then I moved up to stock. I ended up working there for 8 and half years and was the General Merchandise Manager making 18 bucks an hour while going to college. I just recently quit to persue my new job as a Financial Planner (which pays a hell of a lot more)

 
i worked at a movie theatre during the weekend nights. i was sixteen. it was cool free movies and could still ski on the weekends. $7.15. then i worked at coldstone ice cream hated that job. then construction. if your lazy construction isnt for you it takes real work. but you bank. i was getting 12 bucks an hour. and pulling around 1200 every two weeks.

i worked on the docks in the summer time for awhile which was a lot of money but it sucked, last summer i was a security guard at the beach it was so much easier, i just hit on girls and confiscated peoples alchool and kept it for myself, or took naps in the office

i've done a lot of random stuff. started off babysitting and tutoring. then a food stand at the pne (this big fair we have at the end of summer) where i made a grand in 2 weeks. cashier at safeway, server, fruit market cashier/prep, sports director at a camp for people with disabilities in california (best job ever!), and last october i worked in a haunted house where i dressed up like scream and jumped out at people. fun at first but got sorta boring.

for your first job just take anything, try it out, if it sucks quit and try something else.

ski shop tech room! hell yes. mounting skis, adjusting skis, tuning skis, and i get to fix up my beasts and tune then whenever i want for free. its definately a good job.

last i ref laccrosse during the spring three times a week for three games and $20 a game, mad money when your 14, this year ill probably get a more secure jo like working at no frills. oh ya and next year ill be a ski instructor for a solid 60beans a day

when I was 15 I got my first job in a ski shop, mostly selling carvers and soft boots to old people. it was fun tho, learn about the industry, meet the reps and get schwag, good discounts. and you're pretty much guarunteed there will be at least some cool people working there.

you cant be on the stock crew at albertsons until you are 18. if you are 18 all you can do is be a courtesy clerk. FUCK THE UNIONS.

 
wait a sec, i used to do dishes and clean shit for an allowance... does that count? i guess it would depend on your definition of work though. i provide a service and got paid for my efforts, but then again, i didn't contribute to canadian GDP, so maybe it's not really 'work' per say.
