First year since '13', no PBP

This is the first year since '13' that im not going to buy the PBP movie. X sucked, War sucked and Ski Porn sucked. The trailers are always lame. The soundtracks are always lame. Besides, you couldn't fucking pay me to watch fucking hacks like peter olenick and simon dumont ski. Get some creativity, fucking same movie every year since propaganda. I cant even watch Ski Porn, peter olenick to swollen members, you gotta be fucking kidding me. Only sick shit in ski porn was Pep's self edit, Pep's segment and Andy Mahres segment. The rest of the movie is fucking aggonizinly lame to watch. I couldnt bear to watch another one of those movies, peter olenick falling off shitty ass rails and simon dumont doing the ugliest spins ever fucking recorded on film. THAT IS ALL
 
I liked Propaganda, 1242, and War quite a bit. Ski Porn was mediocre, I haven't seen Yeah Dude yet, I've heard it was OK
 
I bought ski porn and wasn't that impressed, luckily I bought it used so it wasn't a big deal

Pep, Andy, and Julien's segs kicked ass though
 
ski porn was terrible, i agree with a lot of your points, and im not going to buy yeah dude unless it gets movie of the year.

war i actually enjoyed, even though it was cookie cutter PBP it wasnt too over the top.
 
i think msp will take it there incredible, so many well rounded athletes aswell, and the chance to go to pretty much every location they want in the world

war was good, but ski porn was a disapointment. sammys seg was 100% slo motion to a dl song, not exciting
 
i actually like to point out, that for the first time since Iberg let out some movies with PBP, johnny D will not have a large part in the production, which means you might want to expect something different, i mean at least go to the premier and check it out, andreas throws down.
 
i love PBP movies..1242 was the bomb, so revolutionary....but i am very disapointed that there will be no UP1 movie this year..
 
That's what he said. He likes Dumont's jumps... hates his pipe shit. I haven't really enjoyed a PBP movie in awhile. Some Segments in WAR were sick.

lack of creativity? obviously you havent given the movies a chance, quite possibally the most creative pbp selection ever! you should take some meds for the hate bug you got and giver.

 
Same shit every year. The main difference is PBP has it more together than MSP. But yeah, my favorite films have been from the independent side for the last few seasons - TBC and Idea.
 
Remember when PBP was the big progressive company and MSP was "same shit every year"? Whatever. Ski Porn was mediocre except for Andy's segment, which was an easy 10/10. But War was quality. And Wski is one movie I don't think I'll ever get tired of, though I didn't like it at all on first watch. Maybe they need to change it up, but it's not worth giving up on them over one bad year (keeping in mind I haven't seen this year's movie yet).
 
Is msp still not the same shit every year? I saw push and wasnt that impressed but I will also say that about ski porn. I do feel kind the same about both msp and pbp, they are the same shit every year, just msp has commentary, slow mo, and much more big mtn,. The only movie Ive seen so far this year is Idea and I do think it will be the best movie of the year.
 
First off war was good, and ski porn was alright, but Yeah dude is prolly one of the best flicks from poor boyz so far. i got a chance to see it lastnight and i fucking loved it. it is nothing like the rest of their movies. It kept me entertained the whole time and Tyler Hamlet is fucking sweet. Im not going to tell you anymore cause i dont want to spoil it.

I will def buy YEay DUDE.
 
just to set the record straight, Yeah Dude is completely different from PBP movies. huge departure. yes unfortunatly it has peter olenick in it but its way better. funny and with stupid funny voice over adn cool stuff like that. i agree with you about skiporn though..fucking boring

I found Yeah Dude to be way better than PBP's other recent releases, and I liked War. Yes Pete O does like 3 different tricks to a shitty song, yes Dumont's pipe segment voiceover made me want to kill myself, yes the soundtrack is very hit or miss (Mickey Avalon = no), but it had a good feel, and Tim D and Henitiuk slayed.
 
i think olenick has had some of the more creative segments in the past few years. his segments are usually a highlight of the pbp movies which get repetitive real fast. as for ski porn, andreas's part was next level along with the other ones already mentioned.
 
1242 was revolutionary, PBP can't really do much to top themselves. Seriously that generation of riders was so sick, I miss Boyd Easley. After 1242, it was someone elses turn to step up to the plate. TBC had that shit nailed, Idea has that nailed and Tanner is doing the right thing also.... We just need more Iberg.
