First US Ski Team fight?

Yes respect what Tanner is saying but just going to far sometimes! Hudak isn't the real voice of freeskiing. Torin, you are young and you will understand these words very soon trust me!

That's what is freeskiing all about, having different style and opinion! Just freeskiing or skiiing isn't only park or pipe, it's also about skiing for fun all over the mountain. We are all skiers before being freeskiers, and the word free means you do whatever you want but the more ways you explore, the more respect you will get and here I guess the only one that deserve the most like is Tanner! When people will be able to achieve what he did and what he came back for, then they will be able to Talk!

BTW, I was at the downsatirs a week ago and

I dunno, I don't think Tanner comes of as the most intelligent person ever, but he's just being him, I don't get why people get so worked up over it. However, Tanner's feeble attempte at deflecting, or justifying if you will, his statements are actually really pathetic, and it surprises me that he is engaging in that way. Going so strongly into a defensive argument, saying stuff like "I'm just stirring the pot" makes him look stupid and desperate, and I actually did/do not consider him to be any of those things.

Then again, everyone, apart from Riley Poor, seem really butthurt in this argument, just thought that Tanner would've risen above being butthurt like that, I guess not.

YES!!!!!

This has single handedly basically vindicated everything that I ever say about the fact that Newschoolers isn't a breeding ground for hate and immaturity. Adults on the internet are capable of doing EXACTLY the same thing when trolled.

@grantgun "Go get high and get more bad tattoos."

BOOM - the moment that the adults in the industry succumbed to internet hate.

Save this boys and girls - this is the moment that normal forum drama begins to permeate main-stream social media. Those fuckers have been thinking they are above it for far too long.

Long live newschoolers.

[insert evil laugh]

"SKIPASS where you at!!!"

Best quote haha. Got to give props to Tanner for being himself. At the same time, it's kind of easy to understand why Red Bull dropped him. Not that I don't respect Tanner, but a compagny like Red Bull don't want to have to deal with such controversies. Anyways, I'd rather see someone like him living the way he wants rather than those who fake to have the "hard working" Red Bull image.

Uh I'm not on Tanners side. Of course it's just him. But that would be like "Oh look don't kill Osama, he's just being himself". Of course not a good example and not even the same, but I guess you all know what I mean. WeIl like Tanner, but sometimes his attitude is just bad.

i've hated t hall ever since i heard him bitching and talking like a dumb shit in teddybear crisis 6 or so years ago. Of course I respect THall.. and I love watching him ski. but DAMN I am sick of this entitlement shit. being good at skiing should not give you the right to go acting like you're the king of the world and talking shit about other people who are just chasing the same dream. I got into skiing because of how down to earth and real this community can be. I have respect for skiers who are doing what they love but remain modest and respectful... and who support others in the community... and not just the ones who fit his image or whatever.

I also think its pathetic how so many people here are defending his behavior.. and are so adamant about this idea that its OK to act like a fucking douche because it's "expressing yourself" and "not giving a fuck" and that's what skiing is about. People who REALLY don't give a fuck wouldn't spend so much time on creating this image of themselves.. and tossing hate at other people. People who really don't give a fuck.. just go ski, they do it because they love it, and they don't waste time hating on their peers who are also just doing what they love. that's just my opinion though.

if you wanna wear 8xl tees and smoke pot all day while listening to cali P and speaking in ebonics .. by all means do it. but why the hate? I just don't get it.

It blows me away the a corporation like Red Bull would not want Tanner Hall. Who wouldn't want a wannabe Rastafarian with a 6th grade education and stunted social skills to represent them?

I wasn't only referring to this particular event in my post... I mostly just blabbered on an in a somewhat incoherent manner about how I dislike the hate, the image that tanner portrays.. and the fact that people "respect" him.. for being so "honest".. when really he's just disrespecting his peers who love the same sport... and his so called honesty comes off more like a pathetic defense mechanism... and like I said.. I've disliked tanner ever since that scene from TBC where he is standing at a skatepark talking about himself (which still makes me cringe to this day)

you are probably right though.. this will blow over and be forgotten soon enough. doesn't mean it isn't a good reason to get our internet panties in a bunch though. =)

Did we? There was no vote, and I didn't sign shit. I would've voted yes if I could, but there was no community decision required. If you don't like it you can just continue to ski and not watch the olympics. That never changed.

the ski community. yes I started skiing before I discovered the community... but I really got into it when I saw how dedicated and in love people are with this sport. I was a once a year gaper when I first saw twin tips... I loved skiing.. but I was a young teen without the money or resources to ski often. It wasn't until I met people from the community who showed me how awesome skiing can be that I really got into it. So yes.. a big part of why I got into skiing was because of the ski community.

Downdays is the only online store in Europe that sells inspired clothing as well.. linked from inspireds page. INSPAJJJAAA

tanner is on another wavelength, people who don't get him won't get him. He's kind of a marginal figure if that makes sense, like he exists on the boundaries of our culture, not really following the "rules" but not totally abandoning them either.

hudak is being kinda annoying, her fear is blatantly obvious. Tanner is a different breed, everyone knows it. It's probaby not fear he feels. It's determination, drive, and a little anxiety, but not fear, he's too crazy to be afraid in the conventional sense.

I have a lot of respect for tanner as a person and a skier, and b/c of his level of crazy I can't hold anything against him. I don't judge him by the same standards I would use for regular people, and neither should you.

adam, i'm not saying he has the right to be like that, i'm just saying you can't blame him for acting the way he does because it's just who he is and always will be. Unless you are doing something cool in his eyes, he's going to hate on it, no matter what, it's just in his nature. i have respect for his skiing but not him as a person.

anyone suprised Torin (whos skis for Armada) called out Tanner? Doesnt seem like the kind of thing you should be doing to your ski sponsors biggest name who started the company back in the day. Walter Wood is a goof and the vid above proves it, fuck comp skiing fuck the olympics

This makes me laugh. And now all I'm picturing is mermaids giving people head. I guess its ok though, their knees won't hurt since they don't have them.

Man says it like it is. Skiing is about fun, not politics. "if you can't make fun of ourselves then like the quote goes 'if you ain't laughing, you aint living"

Shit just got philosophical.

How about people just go out and ride instead of hating on each other? Hit up a summer setup if your mountain isn't open and all of your Bible-questioning Tanner Hall thoughts will disappear !

I thought this was Grand Gunderson and I was like "WTF, WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS CALLING OUT TANNER!!!!!!" Then I checked instagram and realized it was a nobody, lol.
