first tricks!

i am 15 and i have been skiing all my life, but i havent spent much time jumping. i ride mountain bike dirt jumping so i thaught i would like to get into some newschool stuff. i have just got a new pair of solomon sb9 skiboards to try and learn some tricks.i dont now manny tricks for biginers so i wonderd if you could suggest some to try?all i can do at the moment is a safty.

 
Here is an idea: Throw away your new snowlerblades, and go buy some skis. Then ask again for tricks to try.

learn to spin 360's they are the basis for all tricks to come, and learn a variety of grabs, mute, tail, japan etc. then integrate the two together. then start to add 180 degree to your spin(540) then another (720) or subract 180 (180)

go get some real skiis and just try out some grabs, then add a spin and go from there

throw the skiboards in the closet and forget about them

 
skiboards are not hte answer, you may think skiing is harder but in the end when all of the skiboards in this world have been burnt or broken and sent to hell, skis will still be on the mountain...

whats so bad a bout skiboards... jeeze who cares what u ride on... anything is better then nuthing, and ya just try 360s and keep at it... Also twin tips are played out.. u dont need them to jib, only once u start doing lots of fackie stuff

save yourself, dont get skiblades please. Get skis, tricks look so much better and you can actually have style after you have jumped for a while. Since you have skid all your life you have a good background, just dont snowlerblade, youll thank me after you realize it!

 
Ok he already has boughten the Skiboards, if you read the thread u would have known that already so stop being ignorent and either help the guy out or don't post anything!!

and i would just learn difrent grabs, there not evne hard enough to talk about, go to lineskis.com and there are ski/skiboard tricks in the ride section...

180's are easy. Then 360's. Then keep going up. Try throwing in grabs and stuff too. Then after about a year get skis because its way easier to go big on skis.

thanks, but as i sed i have skis but skiboards spin faster(?).i intend to learn on the skiboards and as i get better transfer the tricks onto skis.

i dont just ski about an skiboards like people that cant ski (i can) i just use them in the snowpark.

 
first trick i learned was a backflip...then came sketchy as all hell 180s for a season long, then just last week i got 3's down and now im spinning 7's...defiantely go for 3s once you get them and you just keep doing them constantly...you progress so fast with spins its crazy
