First trick that made you think “damn, i’m getting somewhere”

360 for me considering it took me so long to land it and it also was a mental challenge. my mind was telling me against it for so long

I did a fs fs blind2 the other day and then a lip 2 disaster transfer my first day skiing this season at a rail jam. Both of those felt pretty good and surprised me. It felt like for so long I really wasn't getting anywhere and then it just clicked

My first disaster and front 2. I realized doing rail stunts isn't impossible. Just takes balls and practice.

My first rodeo 5. I never thought I'd be anything special but for a skier from Wisconsin that hardly rides I felt pretty proud.

Now that it's been 5-6 years of not skiing at all and just starting to ride again I feel straight up horrible. However landing a 360 safety after my first day on skis in those 6 years really made me feel happy. Yeah it's a super easy trick but I know most people couldn't do that their first day on skis.

I know I'll never be anything special but maybe I won't be embarrassed to ski again soon.

First front 4 I landed. I tried a metric fuckton the season before with no results and finally figured them out the season after.

When I did it felt amazing

Gotta be a 7 or front 4. Or 3 off a decent cliff. 7 was like starting a whole new book in my skiing, I felt like it made bigger tricks seem very doable.

I ski a ton so the basic tricks like 360 and backie come really natural and sliding a rail and spinning off was never a problem. But for the life of me I couldn’t 270 on... once I was able to get that my rail game started improving cause I realized you just have to try and try and try and eventually it comes. It doesn’t feel like jumps where the first attempt seems to go okay.

A good 360 for sure. Not the one where ur arms are like spaghetti in the air, but the one where u are controlled in the air and get a good carve into it. That one particular 3 made me feel so great I hucked my first 7 ever and managed to somehow stomp it first try.

The first time I decided to try a sw rodeo 5 it was literally a couple seconds before leaving the lip of the jump and, to my surprise, I stomped the shit out of it. I’ve never progressed faster than I did that week with the confidence that hit gave me.

First actual 270 onto a street setup rail where you really lock in felt amazing!

I was skiing and there was a dfd that i kept hitting and one time i just decided to throw a b2. Either that or a 2 on

The first sw rodeo I landed. went on a tramp for like 2 hours sendin it, went out to the mountain and ate it a few times then got it last run of the day.

first backflip was such a good feeling. took so long to build up the confidence

First backie made jumps/inverts more doable from only having shaky 3s before hand. Misty 5 and almost 7 made bigger spins and axis less scary. And a K-fed and both ways only tricks

Same, they have been driving me crazy trying to land one

when i tore my ACL cruising groomers. I felt my knee explode and I was like 'fuck yeah, I hope this is indicative of good things to come!'

I think it was when I finally started locking in grabs on every trick and could switch them up, I realized I was actually comfortable with my tricks.

K fed the year before I could barely swap and then the first day out skiing the next year I started getting them and swapping a lot

Going big off the wave at snowbird, but I still can't land any tricks other than flat ground 180s. Working on a 3 today

Dude I don't know any other natural place to huck and progress that's bigger and smoother than the wave. Seenndddd iiittttttt.

When I started doing rails switch. I know I'll never be even close to pro or even some of the unsponsored rippers in edits on NS, but I hold myself to unrealistic standards for how often I ski and yeah I was stoked.

Backie was a big one, but first 2 pretzel 2 on a large rail (40’ dfd) was really the one trick that stoked me the most and made me think I’m actually pretty good at this, haha.

That's a good question. I think for me, it had to be a 540. I had just learned a 360 like a few days before that and then just said fuck it and went for a 540.. I ended up landing it like my 2nd time and my mind was blown. It made me realize that most stuff is all in your head and whether you're going for a 360, 540, 7, or 9 it's really not much different. Just throw it a little bit harder and turn your head a little bit longer.

In the process of getting snappy 270s onto rails right now and I think 2 pretz 2 is going to be a pretty huge moment for me. It'll be the first trick I'm stoked on learning in a couple years and I think will get me back to the way I used to ski when I was like 14.

Got my first rodeo 5 and double backie on a pow jump in the same day first try on both I was very hyped

that sounds like a pretty awesome day.

First backflip and blind 2 made me realize I could ski in the park without embarrassing myself, and then first dub backie, even tho I didn't land it, got me thinking that most people who ever touch the park can't do that, let alone have the guts to attempt it. Awesome feeling

Front flip was probably the most stoked I've been on any trick cause I was like 12 but I'd say the point where I realized it gets easier and easier was when I landed my first flat 3 on an actual park jump.

Last run and stomping a new trick do not go together

My first casual backie where I didn't feel the need to scope the landing or stomp out the lip, just throwing it and skiing away. Made me feel like Candide.

60 ft drop to stomp in a ton of pow in front of a big ole crowd. Best feeling ever had on skis. I'm well beyond my park days but stomping stuff like that gets my adrenaline flying
