Travis Rice and Romain deMarchi were the first snowboarders to do Chads gap and they did also land switch. Landing Switch in power with skies way harder.

it hasn't been done. it would be really hard to do. you are going so fast, and the outrun isn't the greatest. it would have to be a deep day, and you would have to be quick on the turn around, or you might be saying high to a tree or the gully at the end of the out-run. IT COULD be done, but would be hard.

ok not to start an argument, but I think that is a very close minded statement to say that everyone who has hit chad's has just hucked it.

Do you really believe that sages unnaty cork seven was hucked? What about marc andres cork seven. what about candides d-spin? the list goes on.

Anyone who has seen chad's in person will agree with me that the movies don't do it justice. Specifically concerning the in run. You go from around a 40-45 degree pitch to flat for 50 feet or less and then have to hit it.

If you really believe that everyone hucks it then fine, but I'd reconsider that statement.

i think too many of you are confusing chad's gap with the pyramid gap. the pyramid gap is much smaller and a lot less gnarly. travis rice did his double corked 10 at pyramid not chads(still insane nonetheless). jamie's attempt at a 180 was also at pyramid

a trick to know the difference between chads and pyramid...

chads you normaly can see down the vally toward alta/bird. also there are trees all around the inrun and near the take off, and more in the outrun. pyramid has VERY FEW trees anywhere near it. there are some but not many. also pyramid is never realy shot showing down the canyon.

Sage. He's been hitting it longer than anyone and I bet he feels really comfortable with it. The only two other poeple I can see doing it would be Pollard or Pep but neither of them has hit either of those gaps before. Sage has hit them lots an I think with that confidence he'll be the first to land switch.

Sage has shitty style, Enough people have hucked chads, its time to for someone to step up to the level of travis rice and romain but on skis. Those two made fools out of the skiers that had been hitting that gap for years

by the way, travis rice's double cork 1080 over pyramid was really smooth.

Yeah Sage doesn't have gret style but that cork 7 deffinetly wasn't hucked. I thought is was pretty damn smooth. I don't see anyone hitting it switch without putting some serious time into the inrun. You've got to be going about 50 mph to clear the gap and there aren't too many guys comfortable going that fast switch especially on a bumpy inrun.

Has anyone seen any of the other footage of it being hit by skiers from last season. I've ony seen Sage and Marc Andre. Didn't Tanner and some other guys hit it? Is that stuff in WSKI? DIdn't Charles Gargnier hit it?

i think they should start landing consistantly forward of that jump although it would be really funny to watch

telestar, Yeah Tanner did hit it and it is in WSKI 106. One of the clips is him crashing but he does land it and it is some damn smooth.

taking off switch would be nearly impossible..

the inrun is so gnarly that the snowboarders that hit it had to completely changé it around just so they didnt fall coming into. if it was that hard for a snowboarder to hit it at all, it wouldbe inmpossible for a skiier to hit it swtich
