So how bout it. Who's it going to be? My money is on Sage. He was doing 180's off some pretty burly cliffs this season I bet he got a 5 nailed before the end.

i fukn stik cork5 s n rodeo 5s off clifs all da time, its kndergartn shyt. but i can nver get it on film cuz im so sik that wnever a camera gets pointed at me da lens brakes

i was skiing with travis perkins and he did a cork 5 off a downward sloping takeoff without looking at the landing or the cliff. it turned out to be about 20-25 ft. he stomped it switch and rode away. it was the most impressive thing i have ever seen in real life or a movie. oh yeah, there was like 3 ft of sierra cement that was his landing

does that mean you don't want a fish sandwich

I saw a photo in 2freeskiing last season of tanner doing a cab 5 off a cliff- all crossed up and all. It's probably a few seasons old. IT would be easier than a straight 5 though.

 
ben larson did a fakie 5 in the beggining of may at mt baker off home run gap which is a cat track gap that is about 20 ft far and 25 ft high.

^it'd be way harder i think,you'd need a huge cliff,say like a 50 footer,and landing that switch,would be....really fucking hard

It used to be that you'd not even dream of throwing a 1 into powder but now loads of people do them. A proper 5 can't be that5 far off being landed.

 
yeah, and you didnt specify how big the cliff was, and how much pow there is. I have thrown 5s off 4 foot cliffs to hardpack.

A real five off a real cliff into real powder has yet to be documented in any major ski mag or movie (that I know of), but if you want to see Tanner sticking the biggest 180 in the middle of a real backcountry line, check out the first issue of FREEZE this September....

 
iam sure pep could do one, he was busting huge 5s into powder off that jump in 1242 and that is just as high as a cliff

 
^True but landings off cliffs are just harder to stick. I've boosted as high as the biggest cliff I've ever landed, off some hips and it is way harder to land a cliff. Cliffs usually have a steaper landing, that just in 1242 was pretty flat. But yeah I think Pep will hopefully have one in jis part this year.
