... by the news that it will take 13 hours to upload my 3 and a half minutes woth of video. For that matter, why is this video 419MBs? I used a song from my itunes account, and I've heard that those files are rather heafty. Is that why this is taking so long?

songs dont really effect your video size

plus the size of the file going in won't really affect the size of the file coming out (aside from length obviously).

you could edit a really low quality video but export in a very high quality format and it will be a very big file. and you could edit a really high quality video but export in a very low quality format and it will be a small file. just depends on the compression.
