First time getting pulled over....

Drivin with 2 of my friends to Sonic (bleck) saw this huge c rail in a parking lot of a school, we pull in, im taking pictures my friends are climbing on the roof, after 3 minutes of rail examination i climb up on the roof and walk around for litterally 1 minute, the whole time this kid on a bike listening to screamo and singing watches us, we get back in our car, and we see him on the phone folowing us, before i leave the parking lot i stop and wait for him to se why hes watchin us/scare him but he stops and talks on the phone, 30 seconds, we leave i drive down the road and twenty seconds later after 1 stop sign i see lights in my mirror. I instantly freak realizing I dont have my license, Im breaking GDL by 1 person and I was speeding by 10 mph. That same day i read the thread on NSG about getting out of a ticket and turn the car off and put my keys on the dashboard. the officer comes up and asks us what we were doing, i say it straight and say we were climbing on a roof, he asks what we were doing up there, i said exploring, he gets our info and goes back to his car, and within a minute from when he pulled us over 2 more squad cars pull up 3 COPS!!!! all with their lights on! wft! dont' they have anything beter to do? It pissed me off. After 40 minutes of him calling our parents and telling them we were on the roof, he comes back and gives his little lecture and says were free to go... at his point im confused, i was expecting 9 more months of GDL and a $200 ticket, but nothing, he says dont be stupid and your free to go, i slowly leave and go back home.
3 cop cars for a couple teens on a roof... what the fuck? I'm sure that while we were doing our "crime" there was crack deals going on and robberys but no, were a much greater danger to the publicc on the roof of a school... this is Middleton Wisconsin/Madison Wisconsin the 2nd best place to live acording to the today show/some magazine or something....

that kinda shit pisses off

my cousin got pulled over the other day for speeding and two cops cars were right there lights on and everything...looked like she got a DUI or somethin

sucks dude

Welcome to small town cops. I've witnessed drug deals go down with about 30 duffel bags loaded into a 26ft truck, lookouts and armed guards without any cops. I've also seen a kid pulled over with 3 cop cars surrounding him at 4 in the afternoon. I've been stopped 4 times in the past 3 years for ridiculous things. Each time I've had it thrown out because they had no grounds for stopping me.

Why would you be pissed at the cops? You got lucky and ended up with no ticket, when they totally could have fucked you over. I must be missing something here.

I got pulled over yesterday and it was the first time i ever was pulled over.... I was coming from my driving courses on my 50cc moped and a cop stopped me cuz he read my license plate wrong and thought a B was an 8.. hes like "oh im reallly sorry you can go now"

you sound like an idiot. the "Second best place to live" and you are sure there were crack deals and robberies going on that they knew about?!?!?

i win my friend puked in front of a cop right outside a dinner at like 2 am. we tried to get away in my car, there were 3 cop cars with lights on and an under cover suv with 4 undercover cops and i was like wtf there about a 3 to 1 cop to people ratio

don't ever ask a cop if they have anything better to do, because the fact of the matter is they don't. There really is a lot less crime going on in any given area than you may think.

And you really don't have an argument. You were doing something you aren't supposed to, and appeared suspicious. If there are so many crack deals and robberies going on around all the time, i'd recommend that next time you direct the cops to these blatant crimes.

im not saying its the 2nd best place to live, the news says that/said that, and im dont mean it litteral, im just saying there are worse things that us in Madison. And after about 5 minutes one of the cars left, but still 2 cars... with their lights on.

same thing happened to me last year. i was on the roof of the local school which is super easy to get onto. theres literally this one spot where it invites you on. its prob five feet between the roof and the floor. Anyways as we are on the roof we just mess around, not anything bad. apparently there was a fucking teacher there on sunday. who called the cops on us, and three cops pull in onto the side walk about 10 minutes later. the weirdest part was we were off the roof by then and getting back onto our bikes to leave. we got away fine but our parents had to come pick us up and the cops had to call them. like what the fuck

so because it happened that 1 time, it must be true of all cops? So they drove right by? Have you ever spotted someone on the side of the road while driving, and been able to read/analyze every one of their actions while still driving?

and i'm not entirely sure i believe you, either way. smoking crack isn't exactly a common streetside activity.

a cop followed me and my friend out of a gas station at 4 am..foillowed us half way home, prolly 2 miles, as we are driving perfectly down the middle of our lane. he then explained to us that he pulled us over because we had wet pant legs

that definitely sucks, but it sounds like it could've turned out a lot worse.. go beat the shit out of the punkass on the bike, since it was his fault the cops came anyways

It's because the cops can do fuck all about that. They arrest the guy, give him a paraphanelia charge, which leads to probation, and the guy is back smoking crack on the streets without a care. Take the downtown eastside of Vancouver as an example. Located in the middle of one of the biggest heroin districts in the world is a police station. Hundreds possibly thousands of people shoot up and buy heroin within plain site of this police station every single day. You think the cops can really stop that? Use your head man.

last St Pattys day, me and my boys were walking down to the bars, and a few people were up ahead yelling at each other. it turned out some dude and his lady were having an argument. as we got closer a car comes down the street and the chick runs right out in front of it screaming "Kill ME" Car locks up its brakes, and misses her. she gets pissed and hops up on the hood and stomps across the windsheild and over the car. This is where the cops come in. a cop SUV cruises up and stops with her on the car. she hops of and runs at the cruiser yelling "Take me with you! I dont want to live" A second cruiser drives up. NO cop gets out. She starts pulling on the door handles. Cops dont let her in . Here's the kicker. Both cruisers simply drive away. Dont saw anything to her, the other driver, her boyfriend, or us. Simply drive away.

And LAST night, I almost got hit coming home from work by a Cop car that blew through a stop sign. No lights on, no sirens. IF he was going any faster, or if i hadnt stoppes as soon as i did, he wouldve totaled my truck

/rant

You know when its night time cops are supposed to have at least 2 cars at every stop. just because its more dangerous at night and more stuff happens.

this is definitely typical of police and dealing with teens doing questionable things. It is a form of profiling that definitely happens.

The first time i was pulled over was in bum fuck wyoming about 40 miles south of jackson. I have dread locks and the cop had me sit in his car for 45 minutes, questioned me whether or not i had drugs about 100 times, and asked me many other questions...all for a routine traffic stop where i was going 12 mph over...

yeah dude this same thing happened when i was in 5th grade! like 6 years ago I was at my damn elementary school in the afternoon and me and my friends climbed on the roof & a cop drove by and stopped and took us down off the roof and called two more squad cars with 3 officers so there were 4 officers and 3 cars for a couple of 5th graders on a roof. He told us he could charge us with tresspassing and burglary because we climbed over a fence to get on the roof? It was bullshit.

my first time being pulled over was because of insurance problems. my grandfather gave me his car and we were both on the insurance. he had his license suspended because he was in an accident because of a stroke.

anyway, a cop pulls me over because he sees that there is a suspended driver on the car that im driving. he checks everything and says that i should call the insurance company and get them to put me as the primary so this wont happen again... yeah right. im gonna go from paying like $300 a month to like double that? no thanks. ive been pulled over 1 other time for this. took 5 minutes. cops are dumb.

also been pulled over for going 30km over in the middle of buttfuck no where in quebec. so shitty.

depending on which laws you are breaking, most of the time if the cop sees that it's your first time getting pulle over or anything they'll try to scare you and then not give you anything. unless the cop is a huge dick i guess.

first time pulled over, 105 in a 55. cop never talked once, only screamed haha. well deserved though, and it got reduced to 71 so fuck yeah!

The same stuff happened to me and my buddy last week. Literally,

We climbed this elementary school, pretend to be parkcour, and this lady starts yelling at us to get down. We of course say no and keep doing what we were. She started to approach the building so we jumped down and got in his car and drove off. She then chases us screaming for about a block and someone gets our license plate number. Mile later were getting pulled over. Only one cop though and we just told him we lost our frisby. He was more concerned about us vandilising which we didnt so he let us go.

Next time tell him you lost your frisbee

lucky guy. first speeding tick i got the dude said license and registration and nothing else. $160 and 2 demerits later, i was pissed.

Don't be a smartass, you're ruining our cop hate thread. You straight-laced son of a bitch.

"you were doing something you weren't supposed to be doing" shut the fuck up.

How can your town be second best place to live, if my town was also rated second best place to live? This is madness.

I live in Maryland by the way.

They were just making sure that the school was safe, makes perfect sense to me. Cops gotta do there job, doesnt seem like they did your wrong at all. I feel like a lot of young people dislike cops for no reason. There all different, there are good and bad cops just like every other person

Ha, first time i got pulled over was on my JOL going 20 over at 10pm on my way home. I flew up this road and a car was behind me the whole time, and once flashed his brights at me, but i couldnt tell it was a cop until we passed the speed limit sign that was 40, and we were doing 60 so he turned on his lights and pulled me over. I thought i was fucked over but he didnt do anything, just told me to tell my parents and not let him catch me again. It was weird but i think he didnt give me a ticket cause he was on his way home too.

Well true, my pain point is just that they go to unnecesary lenghts when dealing with teens and young adults. I.E. holding you for longer, "random" searches, briniging 3 cars to a routine stop when you've done nothing wrong.

ya eh, like cmon dude, its so cool to hate on cops these days, why the fuck are you ruining this thread??

lol one day you'll grow up and realize you're an idiot. they're just doing their job, and although sometimes they can be dicks, its kinds stupid to just hate on cops for the hell of it. they're just out there trying to protect the comunity. you know how sometimes when you're a kid your parents forbid you to do stuff, they dont do that just for fun, they are trying to keep you safe. cops are like the parents of the comunity, ya sometimes they seem like dicks but there's a reason for it

tru, forgot to add a part at the end there. meant to say that there are certainly some idiots out there, but alot of them are legit, because i've had bad experiences with cops too. ma bad
