Simon was injured today during a photo shoot in Park City. This will more then likely end his season. He ruptured his spleen and fractured his pelvis. He is being held in the hospital overnight for further testing on the spleen.

so many peaople are getting hurt. 5 years ago today i fell 35feet off our quad and busted my femur and arm. i was in a wheelchair for 4 months

its definatley true, jsut got off the phone with a reliale source who was supposed to hit the jump... he went approx. 200 ft on an 85 foot jump...the landing was massive and he cleared the whole thing. i cant remember all the injuries but i do remember cracked pelvis, somethign wrong with the spleen, and a major ass concussion.....bad season for top pros i guess

it was a tow in and one of the photographers tried to radio the tower that eh was going too fast but he didnt hear...im guessing that by the time dumont knew he had too much speed it was too alte

Just for once everyone should try and wish someone the best rather than disecting whether its true or not, and whether it was cool or not. It happened and Simon is very lucky not to be any worse. I have been with him all day at the hospital and he is in good spirits. He is going to have to stay for the next three days for the doctors to monitor his spleen. He did fracture his pelvis, but no displacement, so no surgery. 5 feet or 200 feet, it should not matter, just that he is okay. All of this applies to Tanner and anyone else that gets injured. Wish everyone a speedy recover, becasue it is much more fun when everyone is out ripping than sitting trying to mend.
