honestly mens comps are so fucking boring to watch. all dub corks and nothing else i dont give a fuck anymore. everyone looks the same doing the same tricks.
guys like hornbeck, axe, vanular and leigh who dont ski comps are so much more fun to watch. jossi too i like watching him
 
wow that just made me sooo stoked on queens cup tomorrow and soo stoked on all those girls. Especially kaya and maria stomping 10's and ashley stomping 9's i know she's been wanting those for a longg time. props girls, keep it up :D

Though the level of riding is nowhere near where professional mens skiing is, switch 10s were winning every big air comp back in 05 and 06 in case people forgot. Pretty respectable trick for girls to be throwing over a big kicker like that, stoked on where women's skiing will go. They just proved that progression is possible.
 
Sweet that the girls are progressing! Has anyone seen any footage? Seems like the ninequeens hasn't been covered very well, can only find the video from day 1 and 2.

in the rail jam today there was 1 girl skier and she was just going over the jumps like 1 or 2 feet, just a shitty straight air, she did that twice and got 2 prizes, fucking pisses me off, wheres as so many other people were throwing down and didn't get shit

FYI, kaya did the first ATTEMPTED SWITCH 10 at nz open like 4 years ago, she didnt land. but was still steezy. kinda lame it took this long to get back to that point
 
That video made me realize how hard of a time girls have committing to tricks. They still look too afraid of hurting themselves in the air and open up. Go for it ladies
 
ignorance is bliss my friend. who cares if i cant do a trick? I can still criticize PRO skiers who cant. I think the fact they are girls is turning into a lame excuse, i know girls could try as hard as they did at this comp every day but i feel like they don't (minus maybe the top 5 girl skiers, which is why theyre top 5) look at all the young dudes out there who send it on the daily doing new shit, girls could do it too.
