first season tricks

what tricks could most of you guys do by the end of your first season of newschool? this was my first season of skiing newschool. all i can do are mute, 360, 180, japan, safety, lui kang, 'kickin mute' and almost a front flip. is that about average?

meh..

why don't they put a knife on a spork? doesn't that make sense to you?
 
i just started skiing park this year and those r all the tricks i can do.

souns good for first year. but how old are you and how long have you been sking.

almost a front flip? that dont sound good. backs are so much safer---not a blind landing.

oh yeah i can kind of do rails too. im 18 and started skiing when i was about 5, but i only went about 3 times a year until last year when i got a season pass.

meh..

My first year with twins was this year, I learned up to 900s, zero spins, up to switch 5's, all the rails, urban rails, and cork 7's by the last week of the year. I almost got down switch misty 5's, but not quite.

I can do this thing where I go off the jump and flail wildly, upon landing I double eject, lose both poles, my left glove, my hat and goggles, both boots AND manage to dislocate both shoulders on impact. Its such a hard trick though, I'm saving it for the X-games.

 
that sounds nice! almost as good as my 540 misty to late grounded backflip. i got ALMOST 7s, 3s, almost a misty 5, and loads of grabs. I also got tons of old school stuff like daffies and back scratchers. next year will be my year for inverts!!!

this is my first season of newschool and i can do 9's(only once though), and switch 5's and everyrail about, switch onto railslide to 270 to switch out...

and other stuff...those are my best..

and backflip mute grabs...only in backcountry booters though...

1st season of NS and I could only do 3's.

I didn't get twins until January, and the mountain i spent the winter on had a shitty terrain park where I only ever saw 1 guy doing 5's..so I had nobody to watch and learn off.

This year I hope to do 5's and inverts..and rails

What gravity?
 
this year was my first season. before that, i had only skiied like 3 or 4 times EVER! Plus i only rode like 10 days this year. I can do basic rails, 180's,360's and mutes and safety's. Not great but im goin like 50 times next year..maybe ill get good!

well Im not gettin twins till next year. But I started doin NS on my regular skis about the middle or towards the end of this year. I could do 180's and some grabs and lony air about 5 feet high. But when I get my twins I wanna learn lots of spins and grabs and the the NEXT year I'll go for inverts. (after camp)

 
last year was my first year skiing and it took me half a year to commit to a 3 and other spins, but i had a season pass so it helped. I also tryed fronts, backs and mistys my first year on skis but they were gay so it doesent count.

 
I ve been skiing for a while, but only a few times a year. I never tried any spins before this year, but I can comfortably ski anything in the resorts I have been to. I don't have twin tips yet(next year for sure) but I can do 180, 360 and any grab pretty much. I only spent about 5-10% of my time on the slopes this year learning tricks etc.

Me like Hockey!

Me work five days a week sweeping garbage from the street. come home not want book to read. not nuf pictures for me see. sit right down in favorite chair, wearing only underwear, favorite night is saturday night, cause me can watch hockey fights.

Me not like pro basketball, cause me short and they all tall. baseball slow like forest gump, except when robbie spits on ump. wrestlemania not that great. Me like to see hulk hogan skate. TV soccer not that hot. u play that and u get shot.

sweedish players must be geeks, cause they still got own real teeth. not like finish players names, whats a teamu any way. russians worst in history, got stupid names like valerie. Me like sergi federov, me like him more if head were off, hahaha

freinds come over, put game on, argue then we lay bets down, got bag of chips and case of bud, should last untill end of first period. But yankees, they win the world cup, me think they cheat use glowing puck. maybe if we want to win er, then maybe we should play in winter!

well i just got some twin tips. haven't even put bindings on them. the only thing is that i thought i was getting '01/'02 darksides and i got '00/'01 darksides. im so pissed. i payed like $220 u.s. fuck me.

My first year on twintips after using snowlerblades and I could do 180 through 900, switch 180 through 540, switch backs, underflips, mistys, flairs, rails, It was pretty easy for me to go from fruit boots to skis.

 
kevin, quit complaining about the darksides. twin tips are twin tips, you can't beat $220 for unused darksides!

I've been skiing for 11 years now but halfway through this season I started newschooling. I got down 3s with crossed and/or grabs (saftey, luikang, taipai, mute, and tail), Straight 5s and all types of rails (rainbow, 2x kinks, trapazoids, others). I can do my 3s and 5s in both directions too. Lately, ive been lincoln, and flips on tramps. I happy with my first years (well only 1/2 a season) progreesion! CAn't Wait till next winter!

well um to matt our verstion of switch misty isn't realy a switch misty its like somthing u made up.... but anyway my first year, 720 flips mistys cork 5 sweet rail combo's and flairs plus some kinda switchmisty that nine_milla made up...

a switch misty is when u turn a 180 then do a misty not just do a switch fron off axis 5, thats what cosco told me anyway...

i got 720 and 900 during my first season, but this season (my second) i got d-spins, flares, flat spin 540, cork 720's, rails and bigger pipe airs...

feelin' all right...
