First real pair of skis...

Well sometime this summer im gonna buy myself my first pair of twin tipped skis. My parents dont want me getting any skis yet until i "stop growing". Im about 5'5" right now and will be lucky if i make 5'10" when im older. What size should i get so i dont have to buy another pair of skis in the next few years?

yea, sometimes its good to wait, i bought some boots last year thinking that my feet were gunna keep growing and they didnt, so now i ski in boots that are about 2 sizes too big

idk y u would buy skis that long

i prefer them to be a little less than my height

i use 167's

dont buy boots till the season you're going to use them

at a 167-171, it will be comfortable now and work when you get taller

Im 5ft 5 too and i had the same problem, my parents said id probably outgrow skis if i bought any, but i did anyway, i went for 166 salomon foils but i think i could easily ski 170's, just out of interest what ski's you looking at?

Im lookin at K2 public enemy, Armada AR6, Line Invaders or Line Chronics.

get 174 if they have in that size in the model u want. If not, well i always rock skis that are longer then me, it all depends on what u like.

Im 6'2" and i rip 169s and have a hell of a good time so short isnt all bad.
