yesterday i had my first race. 41st place out of 50 (yea i no i suck but its my first race) and i did two runs in 1:08:05 First Run: 35.18 seconds Second Run: 32.87 seconds. the better people were getting like 20 seconds a run.

i raced until i found out what skiing was all about. skiin deep soft pow and huckin cliffs and in the park throwin steeze cork 5s yea racing helped me with alot becuase if i never raced i wouldnt be the skier i am today, yea i might of but it would of been a long hard road.... wait what am i saying, it was a long hard road.

racing isn't terrible but I hate the structured format, the suits, the gay skis, the gates, the other fags that do it, oh shit nope racing is terrible

yah, quit...i did after my friend smoked a tree and went into a coma and had rehab for like 6 months the coach said "its part of racing"....trust me its gay

ah yes racers such a silly life form, i used to be one but then i got that new sugery..everything is good now.

if you are going to do something other than park or big mountain do moguls.

its helped some iof the heavy hitters in our sport.

racing hasnt.

i read that and was just like wtf you cant go into a coma from smoking weed and then i relized that i was retarted

i race. sorry to say but im talented at it i'm going to j.o.'s this year and all that shit, but how can u say no when you qualified, i still live for the park, and love newschool.

in no way am i a rich racer kid, i paid for all my shit no rich daddy, so everyone saying all racers are spoiled count me out, i try to incorporate a hybrid style of skiing, my racing background helps with balance on rails and jump aproaches where my speed control and landing come in handy in racing, i take more air then any other racers, and it gives me a competitive edge.

we shuold all see both disciplines of skiing as well... skiing and not let everyone down, i encourage all racers to try park and all newschoolers to race.

only call people snob/pussy's that deserve to be called it

wtf racing hasnt helped heavy hitting jibbers.... man u are talking shit. tanner, dumont and olson just to name a few all some from racing backgrounds thats why they shred so hard. racing gives u better, stronger and faster technique and wat about big mounain skiers like mckonky who can do pretty much anything he wants. to the guy who posted this keep wid the racing but dont take it too seriously unless u are winning every race u enter, but def give newschool a go cause it is just shit loads more relxed than the cut throat attitude of racing

dont know about dumont etc. bt tanner hall was a mogel skier, get your facts straight thats his entire point

considering that anyone who is a decent skier as respect for other discplines of skiing, including ski racing, ask most of the pros and most of them wont say anything bad about racing, lots either raced or have very good friends that race, what makes them differnt than all of you arogent punks that they know enough about skiing to respect all of it, all of you that diss any part of skiing are just trying to be cool jumping on the bandwagon because some little piece of shit started saying that racing was gay and you thought it would be cool to say so to even though you lack the knowledge of anything about skiing, its history and the people in it, good on ya buddy keep going, you will only get faster

Racing is good for learning the technicalities of skiing. I did it for a few years and it made me into such a solid all around skier. Keep up with it until it no longer does anything for you. After a while it loses the fun team aspect and everyone gets anal. Enjoy it while you can.
