Hey guys, so after getting a lot of interest for an NS poker tournament last night in a thread I made I decided to set one up.

Here is the information:

Name/Title: Newschoolers Tourney

> Buy-in: $10+1

> Date: December 1st 2010 (gives people some time to sign up and all that, didn't want to make it too soon)

Just go to private tournament and search by date, you'll find it no problem.

This should be pretty cool, winner gets some NS street credzZ.

If anyone doesn't have an account on full tilt PM me. I know how to get $50 for free withOUT a credit card or deposit. The catch is you have to pass this 2 minute poker quiz and you can't cash out the $50, you have to play with it until you earn points or whatever. Its how I got started though, already won a few bucks too (winnings can be cashed out no problem), so its a pretty sick bonus. I don't think you can get the bonus if your a US resident though, since you guys banned online poker..or something?

So ya let me know whose in! The tournament is already up so if you guys have an account feel free to register! If this gets some interest maybe we could do it once a month or something, maybe make a poker cult. I'll bump the thread in a few days to let some others know, then maybe I'll bump it the day of so last minute people can get in on it. btw I'm not making any money off this tournament or whatever just full tilt, so im not like spamming or something haha.
 
right, you can't cash it out right away. You can play with it and cash out and any winnings though. Once you earn enough like fulltilt points you can start cashing it out though.
 
If I did this for everyone I wouldnt have any cash left though man, and I don't want to be a dick and charge people to trasfer money, like $15 for there $11 tourney or something.
 
I'm down. Fulltilt wouldn't take my fucking cards and you can't use paypall to put money on. Makes me miss my pokerstars account.

Ya I see where your coming from. Like I said its a private tourney on full tilt, anyone can join, and I'm not making money off the tournament. If people want to take advantage of the bonus, great, its a good offer and thats how I got started. If not they can deposit their money, I don't care.
 
I just don't really understand the whole thing. Sorry, it's the internet. I don't dive right into things that sound too good to be true, beacuse 99.999999999 % of the time they are.
 
lol, I already said what the strings attached are. Pass a poker quiz, and you can't cash out the $50 right away. Once again, if you don't want to take advantage of it I don't care.
 
Gotta be 18. And if you want the free $50 you can't be a US resident. If your spending your own money on Full Tilt I'm not sure how it works.

Your from the US anyway, so it doesn't matter since you can't get the bonus because your government is retarded. Hopefully you can find a way to deposit your own money and play anyway.
 
Haha, my full tilt account has been on hiatus for a bit, but I may just enter this. Sounds fun. Someone should write a commentary on the tournament and toss it to bishop or shmuck for a cover story.
 
Hmmm, tempted. When registering for the site (US) is there any wait getting money into the account from a credit card? I'm going on a trip until the end of Nov, so would need to sign up right when I got back. Also, is there any limit to the number of people who can enter the tournament?
 
I'm not sure about online poker and american laws. I know theres ways around it though, like using third party sites to deposit. Sort of like paypal, but not.

And the maximum is set at 90 haha
 
Seeing a couple questions in here that I can answer as I use my own money on full tilt.

First for the amount of time it takes to deposit cash, for me it is instant I have my bank account programed on to there so when ever I want I click the cashier button and deposit what ever amount and with in 5 minutes you can play with the money you deposited. You must be 18 and have a valid credit card/checking account I believe.

I believe there are some banks that don't allow deposits to online poker sites. Because me (I use Merchants which I believe is a local chain) and I can do it just fine, but my roomate is always denied when trying and his bank says they can't allow it or something.

This should be a fun time, I encourage everyone who is over 18 to play, it's only 10 bucks and it is on a Wednesday night so perfect time to take a break from some homework or what ever and try to win some money and have fun. I don't think anyone here is to experienced, so as long as you have the basic knowledge of no limit hold'em you definitely have a shot to win, majority is the luck of the cards anyways.
 
I just looked up depositing from the US. Their are way more options than I thought. I thought it was a total ban. You guys should be fine to deposit (just not eligable for the free $50)
 
This would be super fun. Sucks that everybody thinks it is a scam. Its a poker game site, it's only a scam if you suck at poker. As soon as I have my schedule for that week, I'll be in on this. Sucks about the free $50, but thats no deal breaker.
 
There are a million ways around it if your interested. All it means is your can't directly deposit from a CC or bank account. Theres a ton of sites out there that act as third parties, where you deposit there and then deposit onto FT. Kind of like Paypal, but less fees, and just better. You guys need to stand up though in the states, I don't get how poker is a crime. Uz needz to elect ron paulz
 
Just responded to a butthole load of PM's. Sounds like there's some real interest in this, it should be sick! If you guys have gotten your free $50 already or already have an account with it go ahead and register for the tourney, its already up and waiting for us.
 
man do you mind getting the fuck out of the thread? If you think the bonus is a scam go ahead and google it or something, or just don't take advantage of it, see if I give a fuck. The tournament should be a great time and if you don't want to get involved then its your own problem. Just don't try and trash it like its some sort of scam.
 
no man, Full Tilt is for real. They make so much money off rakes and buy ins. Getting people a $50 credit that they'll probably lose is easy, not to mention many will then load their own money and keep pumping that cash money in. I won plenty of money on there till they closed my account (accused me of collusion which was bs) and took a few hundo with it. For that they can suck some putrid cock.
