First minute or so of an edit (in HD) im making of the season...

That was fuckin epic. but what i would do would like do the whole intro in that animation. like introducing names n such. but thats wat i would do. urs is wayyyy sick. i gotta know wat program u used.
 
i used after effects for the titles (if anybody needs it for mac, PM me and i can tell you how to get it, uh, discounted ;) ).

do you mean make the peoples names smaller, or the animated intro smaller?

ill try and see if i can make up more animated shit for the names tomorrow.

i think the black out parts at 33 and around 40 somewhere are too long. also the song is sweet for an edit nice work. its like chill but still high energy i dont know how that works but i like it

the editing was kinda wierd, like too much "special effect" stuff made it look kinda cheesy and cheap, maybe a different song that goes with the skiing better too.
 
nice. i liked it. i didn't mind that the titles were that big, just the song didn't quite seem to fit
 
haha yea, its funny when people see it and then see the footage, there like "no way..."

I'm not hating here, but if you decide to do this again next season i would highly suggest getting a tripod or a crane or both... it just makes everything so much smoother and just makes it a higher quality video to watch. Looks real sick so far though!
 
I love that, the Ratatat remix is sick, the filming is dope and the intro is great, minor this is the names of the skiers, make them smaller... then you will have an awesome film.
 
Two things i noticed that i would change would be:

1. put peoples full names, not just first

2. When the first music change comes on (changes to a much more epic tune), put in a better shot than a simple switch up on a flat box which can be found in any park. (dub front perhaps).
 
Evan is actually laughing because he has this disease called Asshole Syndrome.

In this instance, he is laughing because this guy's camera isn't real HD and apparently that is grounds to make fun of somebody who is probably a very nice person.
 
AFX works for both PC and MAC and you don;t have to buy it.... you can download the full version off adobe.com and find a serial in 2 seconds

for anyone asking you achieve the same type of title effects with key framing in fcp, premier , etc its very simple . of course you can do way more with programs like AFX , livetype , motion

i thought that was pretty sick, just cut out the weak rail shots though.... sloppy 270s and weak switch ups aren't easy on the eyes

i dont understand why most kids are nasty at jumping but suck at rails... opposite with me
 
I make alot of edits...

And i was giggling how he's claiming "HD" with a 750 dollar one chip canon hdv camera. I'm not making fun i was just getting a chuckle.

For the record i shoot with one chip "hd" and its good sharpness etc, but the color sucks.

Sorry if i offended? the titles were really sick, i open after effects and close it because i have no idea what to do. Props for that and making a movie, i haven't stepped it up to that yet...
 
yeah its called "bullshit consumer HD" aka not HD , I'd rather have a 12 year old vx1000...

I'd rather have a DVX than any HD camera under 5g on the market... the whole high-def thing is still kind of wack . Very little people have HD monitors or TVs yet

 
Truth! The thing that stokes me the most about HD cams is the widescreen, harddrive recording, and variable framerates...I don't really care about resolution that much since most people don't have 720p TVs to watch stuff on.
