Hiked up Tukino on sat and had a few runs. Damm was good to get back on the snow. Who's heading to Turoa this weekend?

yeh they will have ther typical mini little set up no doubt. just be like the 8ft flat box and that really really tiny flat rail and a roller probably.

Anyone in wellington keen to trade a ride for accomodation to turoa? Im driving up and either wanna bludge some accomodation or earn some gas money!!

 
bro just slum it in your car. its all good man. i do it heaps. take a good sleeping bag, wear trackies and a hoody and thick socks to sleep and then have a second sleeping bag as a blanket. you wil be cosy. works best of you have a ute with a canopy so you can just sleep in the back. if you are still fucked once you get there like really fucked then call me on 021505325 at night and i may be able to help you out. not too sure tho.

Yeah I keep a sleeping bag and blanket in the back of the car at all times. Im trying to avoid having to resort to that though. Also if I sleep in the back then I cant take my CRF50 up for a play in the snow!

 
dont be supprised if they dont put a rail up till the year 2010. Turoa park staff are eaither useless peices of shit or their bosses are.

Every year they promise the sickest park, and every year they build the same exact table which are decent but thats all they build, and whose heard of park grooming not turoa or pipe cutting

Haha, they make better tables at Turoa then whakapapa, but only make a pipe at whakapapa - in september!

 
yea ive come to realise the best thing to do with both whakapapa and turoa is to expect nothing and then if they actually have something be happy for it haha. Turoa had an alright park like two years ago though didn't they?

got holidays from the 28th onwards. when are school holidays. may go for a couple days this week as we got exam study leave.

whats crackin nukkas?! was at turoa on the weekend. was all shit on sat. all you NI crew know the typical alpine meadow day. gale force winds blowing chunks of ice that split your cheeks and make you bleed!! was one of those ones. set up a box in the morning called it quits at about half 10 in da morning. sunday was way better. they opened up the high flyer. not too many people super solid conditions tho. had a flat bar and marky's c box set up and there was a shit house jump that some punters carved into a hill to a flat landing. was entertaining tho. i have a challenge for anyone heading up turoa this season. if you can beat my time up the mountain there will be a prize of some sort. i dunno what exactly yet. we made it up in 13min. very very dangerous driving!! alot of blind corner passing.

haha my m8s got clocked doing 180 up to porters heights one day in there turbo tx3 but they lost the cops up porters pass it was funny as we were right behind them wen the cop put its lights on

went down over the weekend. the conditions were pretty shitty.

only the high flyer open and the 3 jibs with that nasty little jump cut into the hill. haha

classic stuff though.

i got three weeks off uni. so i'll be down there a few more times. on thursday over the weekend hopefully.

i'll be on scratch fs brown pants and black jacket. hopefully will have my fur addition in my hood haha.

so keep an eye out for me and we can rock a few lines.
