I can do 5s switch 3s and everything under those tricks and i want to get an invert. Which should i try first. Backflip, front lincoln or an off axis spin? I am trying to them on a park kicker so its probably gonna suck, but i just want to do it.

from my own learning experiences i found the front flip to have the least fear factor and relatively easy land factor. the backflip is a bit scarier to huck the first time, but once you get down, is the easier trick to land. lincolns are cool, but unless you have your flip sense down, are hard to keep square. if you haven't had much experience flipping before, i suggest you practice on a trampoline or a diving board first.

i can invert on a wakeboard so ive got pretty good sense in the air of where i am and whats going on

double backflip as a started..then work your way to triple...and so on

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.

i've tried...and gotten close to landing....flatspins rodeos mistlys and licolns...never quite landed one tho...im stupid that way i guess

yay skiing

i was in your position last year and i decided to suck it up and stomp a backflip. so i did. its so easy, once you ball up to it, you wont fuck up. they are about the same difficulty as a 3. just scarier.

^Agreed 100%. I learned to backflip offtrail at whistler 3 years ago. Just remember to tuck your legs. Find a good jump, not too large, with lots of softies for the landing, def. not a park kicker. Lean back, but dont yank your head back, torques your body too much. Then tuck. Thats about it, I think its more natural then spinning.

Side note: Hit the jump a few times...my little bro destroyed his shoulder at 7 springs on a park kicker...hit the jump for the first time, over rotated, over shot the landing, and had to have two surgeries, and now has a 6 inch titanium rod straight thru the top of his shoulder into his arm. Not to scare you, but you can fuck yourself if your not safe!

regarding your side note, it would help if they built their jumps correctly

I was doing cork 3s one day and over rotated it and my friend told me to go for a 7 so i tried it a couple times and finally got it then moved onto d-spins... ive never tried a back flip though... i should learn

yeha i wanna learn backflips to but im from the east so ill prolly just go all out and do it in the park. maybe ill save it for the spring so i dont hurt myself for the rest of the season

deffinitly do a backflip, you can watch your landing the whole time... if you try a front your blind after you get upside-down, find a jump with a nice lip, that want to naturally throw you back. then just huck back, crank your neck to look for your landing... keep your eyes on that spot, you wont over rotate. when you go to do a backflip though, dont puss out half way, if you do that you will stop your rotation and land on your head, comit to it, then stomp it. good luck

i think im gonna try all 3, im getting snow tomorrow night and im just gonna try shit into the 5-9 inches of pow thats coming

backflip is the easiest trick in the book. its such a natural floaty trick and you have so much time to spot your landing. I learned backflips before i learned 1s... so i'd definately say go for that... but one pointer, halfway thru the flip, dont sketch out and flail... keep that shit flippin

I started out with a superman frontflip off our big air... I don't suggest doing it.
