An indoor Ski slope finally is coming to the states - Just outside of New York City. I heard about it and now it looks to be a reality. www.meadowlandsmills.com

yeah i read something on that a while ago. they were supposed to open in 2007 then couldnt get the funding. website says 2008 they should be opened. but from that pic it doesnt look like theyre getting much done

Imissed your post then or maybe not. anyhow........ I just went to the xanadu website for the first time. The webcam shot which looks like it is from today is what got me stoked. it looks like the cranes are halted due to rain today, but that is definitly concrete I see being poured.

that webshot pic still looks the same as it was last time i checked it which was about 2-3 months ago probably

fucken sick, i only live 45 minutes away... when slopes are closed im gonna be thier as much as possible when it opens.. cant wait

Indoor slopes tend to be expensive as they cost so much to power all the air con. Get in there quick and get a job for free skiing!!! Its what everyone in the UK does.

yup i live like 20 min away...i spoke to one guy thats working on the project and he said his boss told him that they will have 3 lanes...a park lane, an expert lane, and a beginners lane. i assume the begginers will just be not as steep as the experts. but yeah its gunna have everythin... mall, movies, arcades, restaraunts, ice rinks, small amusent park...im psyched

yea i can already imagine how expensive the day tickets/season passes for that thing is gonna be...looks sick anyway

Well I would definately prefer a real mountain. How big is it, I bet it would get boring fast. and probably a bunch of beginers and just be like wtf

dude they are so gay. i resaeached them during my Japan unit in grade 7 at school. K its skiing skiing the bunny hill except the ground is a lil gayer. There is no different terrain and no jumps for sure. It mmight be great for those work aholics in new York that have never skied on a real hill but whatever.

thats gonna be one loud as motha fucka, all the echos of kids on the amussment park and shit, wow! looks so dope though

Giants games are rad, the tailgating, the beligernent Italians, the autumn air smell, damn it's one experience. the meadow lands is sick I've actually walked on the field it's dope HEL YEAH NEW YORKERS
