First Illustrator Drawing: Help/Advice/Critique

Heres my first real illustrator drawing, i was thinking about it for the cover of my school assignment planner. Skier is traced from a video frame shot by me. Thoughts?

the text needs some work
try putting some more spave between first name and last name they are a little to close

yeah i agree the name could use some work. the jump looks a little weird to me for some reason, and id fix the skier so that hes grabbing haha. but it looks really sick apart from that

i agree that the text could look better, but what do you think i should do?

and i tried to modify the skier to make him grab his skis or cross his skis more but it just looked bad so i kept it original

idk that the snow needs to be shaded. you have the skier and the sky in all silhouettes so maybe try using basic lines for definition in the snow.
