no, don't let these tards confuse you. a misty 7 is a front flip with a 3 (put basically. technically it "has to" be off axis, as in the flip shouldnt be straight up and down, and some will call it a front full, the aerials name for it, if it's straight up and down. but that's splitting hairs)-- imagine running up to a table, dropping your right shoulder towards your left hip and rolling over the table that way. that's a misty 7
you said earlier why that is-- because the flip counts as a 360 (because it is!)
if you dont understand why that makes sense, throw your phone up in the air and have it do a flip with a 360. now throw the flip flatter and flatter until it's just doing a 7. that will illustrate that the whole time, it was a 720* rotation going on, just different kinds. make sense?
i agree though that it's not the easiest thing to throw on skis because it goes against the momentum of the jump youre taking off of. for this reason backies and lincolns and underflips etc are much easier on skis IMO
