First "EDIT"

If you had to ask us to not make fun of you, then why would you post this as an edit? Why were cars and skiing mixed? Why was your song choice that bad?

Those are only two of MANY questions I can come up with.

Next time - go out and shoot footage from 2010 and edit. Don't waste your time.

But anyway, was it really necessary to post? Not trying to hate, just saying that most people...practice a little more before they start posting stuff.

You want tips then? Here's my tip: watch the videos on NS and YouTube and ski movies and wherever that you like, and take into account both the cinematography and the editing. Ask yourself WHY you like those videos - what about those videos makes them appealing to watch? Then, make a new video and try and incorporate those things you like into your work.

Here's a DON'T: DON'T pull shitty footage from 4-5 years ago. It's bad - that may be all you have to work with, but still, I'm sure you could do much better now.

Keep practicing, but you don't need our tips to improve on this. You have that in you, just use your head a little bit and apply yourself.

Your hating on that guy because he called troll and your response is a definition of a troll as someone posting "extraneous or off-topic messages" The OP linked us to an edit title "Ski Edit" that was about 10% skiing and the rest looked to be a car advertisement and he is asking the ski community for critique. Off topic seems right.
 
everyone needs to calm down i had some old fotage and i did not know what to do with the rest of the song so ya chill out
 
because like i said i just did not want the rest of the show to be blank ...... i have yet to know how to make a song shorter.... that would be one of the TiPs i asked for lol

but first, do you own a camera?

second, try fitting the clips to the beat, pic a song, then pic the best clips to go in

never use 100% of what you film, use only the best few

try to somewhat immitate other edits you like. don't copy them, but once you get far enough along, you will start to develop you own style

its hard work, but stick with it, and eventually you will have something sick

i've only made two videos, and both are on my profile, but its a good thing you made this thread, now we can hel you correct your mistakes at the start. Everything I know has been self taught until i made a critique thread for my skimboarding edit. The advice may seem, harsh, but for me at least it has been incredibly helpful
