How come i see you in every first drop thread laying down the hate? Thats a serious question. Why do you dislike First drop so much? I agree the shoes look like walmart shoes, but I kinda like their new outerwear. You always seem to have a problem with what first drop releases or says

It's because they didn't send him free outerwear when he made his thread to "test" outerwear. And the site he made, last time I checked had 2-3 tests on the outerwear.

because lesh was a cocky bastard when he came on here out of nowhere, promising he was going to change the game, and eliminate pre orders, and shipping hassles and quality issues, and somehow be the first company to really make a product for riders.

well guess what, most of the gear seems to not be that awesome (ive got a tshirt and its like sandpaper on my nipples), they had shipping problems, sizing problems the whole nine. and he did all of this while saga and newschoolers pretty much made the market pool for this company to swim in.

yea hes redesigning the stuff, but it was his initial approach to the whole thing.

that and he didnt give me a suit to test out, me so sad!

and if u think they look like walmart shoes why would u support these guys?

Just cause i dont like their shoes, does not mean i don't like their outerwear. As a company, I kinda like what first drop is doing. They seem to really listen to NS. But that's just my uneducated opinion.

yea your right aaron. sorry for ruining this super positive thread on some cheap shoes that will cost you lots of dollars. i better go try to convince people not to do tobacco, oh wait that wasn't the point of the thread. i guess ill just go lay in a hole.

The idea of this thread is to see how the shoes hold up. Once I see how everything goes, I'm going to give Lesh feedback, and he will make the shoe better with it. (Hopefully)

Dear David/FD crew

Stick to making outerwear, some t-shirts, and hoodies like every other outerwear company. There is a reason none of them make shoes, and if you really feel the need to make these, dont copy every other skate shoe design on the market, its not original and it looks like shit.

i was starting to think i was the only one who notices this kind of stuff....... thanks for saving a piece of my soul cuz i was starting to feel like a dumbass.

yea these shoes luck like fuck. if someone were to actually spend money on these...wow what would be going through your head? Nothing thats what. First drop really is a joke at this point. Last years designs were cool. This years not so much. And this bdevine. Come on now showing fucking a scale with "coke" on it? What the fuck, that is giving you a great image. I can see the 40 i guess, but come on. But hes good at skiing so it justifies it right. Hes just being himself i guess

A little bit, but I will be giving them to a friend pretty soon who has about the same footsize as me and is a lot better at skating than I am. Then I will post a better review.

Currently, the shoes are actually holding up really good. The only problems are in the sole, which David Lesh already figured out (and hopefully will change before production). Obviously, it would be a lot better for the soles to be vulcanized (sp?), but i'll forget about that for now. Here's a couple things I noticed.

1. The threading around the middle of the sole started coming undone after the first kickflip.

2. This happens in a lot of shoes, but I especially noticed it in these, the bed of the shoe (where your foot rests) folds up when you remove your foot, and you have to push it back down with your hand.

3. Really random, but the shoes take a long time to dry. I'm not sure what type of material it is (although it is actually decent quality), but it takes much longer to dry than most shoes do.

I'm sure there's some stuff I can't think of right now, but I'll make another post pretty soon.

Not to bash on FD, but I think you should revise your business plan. Start off by making your outerwear legit and on par, before extending your line of product because after all, you are an outerwear company... One good product is better than a full line of fail products

Oh god. Why would you be the tester if its your friend doing the testing? I would have tested them, im size 8 and skateboard.

And they're not vulcanized because they're not supposed to be. Vulcanized shoes fall apart fast and are generally thin which hurts your feet on big stairs.

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. We agree, making good products is our top priority, and I think that will show in the new stuff we are coming out with.
That being said, we are constantly interviewing new factories, making samples, testing new products, getting feedback, etc.
We have TONS products (including shoes) that we are not ready to begin selling because we feel they are not up to our standards of quality, design, price, etc.
The shoes actually seem really good though, and with a few minor tweaks will hopefully be ready for sale sometime this fall/winter.
Please keep the feedback coming, but try to keep it positive and helpful- that's the most constructive kind. Just saying you think something is bad or dumb isn't very helpful, instead say in a nice way what you would prefer to see, or any ideas or suggestions you have. That's the kind of feedback we really listen to.
We pride ourselves on being one of the companies who really listens to people's input and tailors products to our customers. Thanks again for supporting First Drop!

This really makes me sad. I was really pumped on their new jackets, but this shit is really disappointing.

^^ We are a little confused at that response. We were simply thanking you for your support of First Drop....

all i am going to say is that at first look of this year's stuff online, i honestly thought it looked pretty funky and low quality. BUT, after seeing the jacket-turned-vest downey was wearing at hood, it looks super legit, and pretty high quality.

There wasn't any sarcasm meant whatsoever. We don't make it our business to be sarcastic, rude, or insincere in any way. I'm sorry you didn't like last year's outerwear, we hope that this year's will begin to change your mind...

Oh, I see. Let me help clear that up.
I am not trying to hate on you for trying to expand your brand, I just feel let down that you dont bother to put in the massive amount of effort and patience that is required to produce quality footwear. I mean, the "skate shoes" are essentially re-branded wal-mart/ payless garbage. Its just something that a producer of "quality outerwear" shouldn't endeavor without the proper resources and experience, otherwise its just a waste of time and an insult to your demographic.
I am actually surprised that you couldn't figure it out on your own solely based on the responses to this thread.

ok, im not hating at first drop what so ever, but making shoes it s dumb fucking idea. tee's, headbands, hats, and shit like that is alright, but shoes is just to fucking far, next thing you know they will be making thongs for chicks and boxers for guys. no offense what so ever, but i do not like this idea and i dont think it will sell good either.

I love first drop and i am about to pre order a suit. although just to be constructive i agree with the above statement. i think its great you guys have uped the quality of outerwear and it looks great. just wanna suggest that you wait till the shoes are super legit before u release them. but i see how u are making sure thats how it is by testing them now,. good luck

FD,

You're gunna get hate. Thats part of being a company. Most of the popular outerwear companies have their fair share of people that don't care for them. You've just gotta roll with the punches.

I personally think its great that you're expanding your line. Just make sure the quality and everything is in check and you'll be fine. Just set out to prove everyone that doesent like your stuff wrong. Oh and the logo on the side of the shoe looks a bit week. Maybe make the letters a little bolder?

smuggs you are a faggot. you got a whole bunch of free shit promising you would give hardcore reviews on each piece of gear. look at your website. its a joke. you did one good test. and then described the outerwear. i could get that kind of review straight from the website
