FIRST DROP SIZING....

So i really want to get one of their suits since they're half off... but they only have the XL Tall Jacket... I mean I like all my shit to be long and stuff but i don't know if this is gonna be ridiculous.. I'm 5' 10" with no shoes on haha

p.s. I know they have a sizing chart... but i wanna know first hand..

Pictures and any other advice = +k

the size chart is a lie. whatever the jacket zipper length says, subtract 2 inches from that. but yeah the xlt jacket is massive. if you want a super tall jacket then go for it, otherwise i wouldnt recommend it

When I tried on my friend's XLT FD jacket, it was an inch below my knee's. I'm 6ft. Don't get FD, it sucks and it feels like a garbage bag.

Our size chart should be pretty accurate. And the length is the shoulder to bottom (not zipper, although they are almost identical) by the way.
Feel free to hit us up at info@firstdropouterwear.com with any questions. Thanks!

I'm going to be honest and say you shouldn't get FirstDrop yet. It's still a new company and for the time being, their outerwear is not up to par with anyone elses. The material is really scratchy and stiff and the jacket itself falls apart very easily. I've had my XL jacket for one season and the velcro on the sleeves has already fallen off and the powder skirt is in the process of coming apart. Yes it looks cool, yes it is a cool indie company, no it is not worth anywhere near the price. If you want, get a hoodie, they're pretty solid.

I have reason to "shit on" them. Considering my jacket was already falling apart weeks after i got it. I emailed them expressing my concerns with the potato sack that was my steezy jacket, and all i got was "you can send it in to us and we can fix it, or we can front the money necessary to have a seamstress fix it." needless to say i was headed to France a few days later and neither of these options were applicable.

the fact that they were gonna fix it for free and even front you money to fix it shows how much they really care... thats some fuckin customer service... they're obviously a new company with a dope idea but it takes time.. it's not like every big company started out with the quality that they have now.. give them a little bit of time and their shit will be the dankest

neither would have been sending you a jacket.
i don't love FD, but there is a point at which people have retarded expectations, and you got to and crossed that point.

Retarded expectations? maybe my expectations wouldn't have been so high if they wouldn't have charged me $300 for the jacket. If i'm buying a piece of outerwear for that much money i better be getting some quality shit. Not some rag that's going to fall apart in a few weeks.

ha i got my whole suit+extra sleeves for 300, and kangbang, my suit must be one of those too because its almost 100% intact, but what do u think of the moment shit cuz i saw some at porters and i liked it but the powderskirt was kinda cinchy even when it wasnt snapped together

arc'teryx jackets are $500. they are REAL high quality. im not saying its retarded to expect your jacket not to fall apart, im saying its retarded to expect them to magically fix it right fucking now.

I'm tired of everyone hating on First Drop. The quality isn't that bad. All the FD jackets I have tried on have felt sick.

FD pants ftw! i had a full suit and it was alright, no quality issues at all but the fit wasnt my cup of tea. but the pants are super comfy and warm. suspenders are the way to go and i will never go back. i love them so much that i got another pair after i sold my suit.

everyone bitches about FD, saga has quality issues too. idk about this year specifically but last year that shit ripped like tissue paper.

i really wanted the black and yellow jacket though... but i think i might just get a different one or save up and get next years suit

I don't know what you guys are talking about, my Large jacket matches up to the size chart. I love it. Great quality.
I only have two complaints. The pants are MASSIVE! My medium pants fit like a bigger than average large. Also, because of the zip off sleeves (Which are sick) the shoulders are really broad.

Zipper on xl is 35 inches not 37, so xlt is prolly also 2 inches shorter. Decent as a vest but sleeves were way to long and xl pants were about 2 feet wide, to much material for me to ski confortably. Watch some of liam downeys edits he wears xlt

I have an xl suit and im the same height. For me the sizing is perfect... its a couple inches above my knee and the pants are big but i like em and they are super comfty.. the only problem I have had is a couple of teeth come off of my jacket zipper but this is a minor issue and not a big deal. FD FTW!

I got the pants and their fine, maybe its just the jackets with all the seams and whatnot that rip. My pants are holding up fine

i've cut the velcroe off of both wrists. it was hanging on by threads and just flopping around. First drop also gets really tight around the neck area. I can't zip my zipper all the way up on powder days.

Wait to buy a FD suit, as everyone said above they are a new company and there quality will improve. If you need a suit right now, I love my LDC suit and they are also on sale.

I just got my Hoodie and t and the t shirt is 4 inches shorter than it says on the website and the hoodie is also really small. Kinda sucks

Had a bad experience with a hoodie last season and have watched my friends hate their FD. I can guarantee that I won't be buying FD anytime soon. Both of my Saga suits have been solid.
