First Drop Questions

First of all, I have heard that the quality of First Drop is somewhat sub par, where the jackets and pants fall apart constantly? info about those problems would be helpful too.

Secondly I am around 5' 10'' so I was wondering what size to get as I have also heard that the sizes come up really big?

Sorry if this is a repost! +K for good answers

People exaggerate alot... or hear something and claim that its happened to them first hand and shit to follow the crowd. Last seasons jacket looked pretty sick in person. Ide love to cop them v4 Khaki pants if i had the money for sure. Mid season... hopefully...

Yeah, I especially like last years V3 blue and white pants and I was planning to get a V4 jacket too, I think their gear looks sick, people love to hate about guys wearing First Drop but if they look good then people will buy the kit,

I'm not sure how much the stuff is but I for sure do not have the money now, may buy the pants first then get a jacket later, any ideas on the prices for both pieces?

I have the pants, bought them used, and haven't have a problem. Fraying around the bottom, just have some duct tape ready. Overall, you get what you pay for.

Eh, well I mostly get my ski influence off here, since Denmark is the Mekka of gapers, they are some of the brands being talked about on here and I like their style, even though I'm not planning on buying anything ultra-baggy.

Feel free to recommend something else.

No, I agree, FD and saga have similar styles so why would it not be between the 2 brands when choosing, I from England also don't have small brand coverage so would go for stuff like FD or saga.

Anyone have any advice for me: I'm about 6ft1, ideally would like just jacket to land half way between hip and knee? +k for useful answers

Thanks for your interest in trying out some FD! We have come a LONG way in the last few years. Our new stuff is BOMBER. We have a year warranty on all of our products, and continue to listen to our customer's feedback so we're always improving our products. If you can look past the few shit talkers on NS, I think you'll see a lot of people who have actually tried our gear and love it. We hope you'll give us a shot!

I had one of their hoodies(streetwear so not a lot of wear and tear) and after about a month of owning it the zipper broke and after emailing them about it I was basically told that it was my fault it broke.

So all the shit talkers have no basis for what their saying, I'm pretty sure all the "shit talkers" have experienced a problem with your gear that is why they talk "shit" im the first place.

Triple post swag...this was three years ago though so i dont know how their quality has changed simce.

Check out Bloom Outerwear.... otherwise FD looks alight. I like shells more than insulated and the jackets are super warm.... so I don't care for them. Seems like a good company though

they have admitted their first few years were not great and they are improving, yet there are still kids who call them out coz its apparently cool.. I just don't understand jumping on the bandwagon of hating small companys because their products weren't bullet proof..

and beside FD isnt exactly expensive is it? seems a bit narrow minded to forever diss a company for making a product that wasnt perfect in its first year of production, especially when it didnt cost alot in the first place... generally, you get what you paid for..
