Thanks guys, it really means a lot how supportive you all have been.
Most of the people on this forum are totally correct, not sure why (or how) anyone would compare First Drop to something for mountaineering (like Arcyterx for example).
Completely different products marketed towards completed different people. I do a LOT of traveling and skiing in all kinds of conditions, and I know what it takes to stay dry and comfy. I lived in Portland and skied the Northwest for a few years, so I know what it's like to ski in the rain.
Honestly, I really started this outerwear company so I personally could have a dope suit all year long, just the way I wanted it. It's really just a perk that other people seemed to be interested in it as well. I was sick of dealing with junk outerwear for so many years. I basically live in that stuff 6 hours a day, 200 and some days a year. That was the true motivation behind starting this company.
And because of this, I tried to take into account all aspects of design and technicality. Improvements will definitely be made in subsequent years, but I can honestly say this is the best thing that I can personally put together right now. I tried my best.
Thanks again for all the love.

You know a company is doing something right when they get both.
I'm really excited to see how this company moves on. Like I said, the bib-pants stoke me out. I'll try to pick some of those up once I hear how the waterproofing works for the masses.

Concerning XL sizing, Lesh told me that he's 6'1 and it fits nice and big on him, and the model wearing the suit in the pictures on the website it also 6'1 if you wanna see how that fits. I'm 5'10 and I ordered a full XL blue suit, he said it would totally work, cause I could rock the bib up a little higher, and have a super tall jacket. So it's gonna be ginormous and tall on me, I like that. Also ordered a 2xl hoodie!

could you or someone possibly post the sizing here for all hoodies because i have internet explorer and the image will not enlarge when scrolled over. Thanks!

Here is the complete sizing for the hoodies:
height= shoulder to waist cuffwidth= width of body at waist and at armpitslength= sleeve cuff to sleeve cuff
XX-Largeheight- 37width- 26length- 76

X-Largeheight- 34width- 24length- 73

Largeheight- 31width- 21length- 70

Mediumheight- 28width- 19length- 66

Smallheight- 25''width- 16''length- 63''

Insulated, not puffy. Its supposedly a medium insulation. So its warm enough that you can just wear a t shirt underneath for most days. Saga and LDC don't have insulation, so this is a PLUS.

this dude knows whats up

I was a little, I dono..... supprized to read their explaination on how 8k is as good as 20k..

and I think their jackets are ugly the middle pocket is stupid.

sick hoodies and T's tho

I bought a tshirt

haha all the things you listed i want to buy too. but ive ordered a full hybrid suit already, so i might just go for the black jacket with the purple hoodie.

5,9? If you want a more typical fit, go with the Large. You want yours clothes baggy as shit, get the XL.

If I were 5,9 I would probably rock the XL.... but thats just me...

super sick gear for sure!! but you are fittin a 5'9 bro for baggy but what about us who are 6 ft?? gotta make a XXL next year-id pick one up for sure!! like 40' inseam?? but the bib is awesome idea. hope the best

you cant really go wrong with a 45 dollar hoodie. jiberish is sick, dont get me wrong, but its hella expensive

damn you sounds really down to earth. next year make a red and white suit and a purple suit, like the colors your making for your hoodies this year. i will be the first purchase.

I'll try to answer the last few questions at once.

Regarding size, trust me the XL will be tall enough for the biggest of skiers. Spriggs (who is 6,5") tried the suit on and it fit him great.

The pics of the suit on the website are actually on someone who is 6,1". He had the bib cinched up pretty far, so the pants can come even lower if wanted without constraining any movement.

So, if you are over 6 foot, the XL is for you. If you are a few inches under 6 foot, it really depends on the fit you are going for. Get an XL for a huge fit, get a large for a less huge fit. You can always cinch up the pants to make them less baggy, that is why I recommended the XL to the guy who is 5,9". Thats only 3 inches less than 6 feet! If he didn't want as baggy of a look, I would have recommended the Large.

Regarding the magnets in the pockets and electronic devices/credit cards:

Note the back 2 pants pockets and the front left jacket pocket have NO magnets (only velcro). This is to protect wallets, credit cards, etc. This is also so you don't sit on any hard magnets.

The inside 3 pockets also don't have any magnets (the 2 huge mesh pockets, and 1 MP3/cell zip pocket).

You can even put stuff in any of the large pockets that DO have magnets since they are so deep, your phone/credit card will never be pushed up against (or anywhere near) the magnets which are only in the outer flaps.

Even this being said, I rocked a DC jacket all last year that had magnets in all the flaps, I put my credit card, phone, and ipod in those pockets (which were smaller and closer to the devices) EVERY DAY and never had a problem.

I hope this info/experience helps in some way.

Thanks again,

-David

It's so nice seeing a company that treats their customers right.
I called before I ordered and Lesh was SUPER helpful, answered all my questions and helped me get the right size suit.
This company is LEGIT!
