First Cork 3 Attempts - Feedback

Started to work on cork 360s today. Getting closer but not quite there. Any advice as to getting that a bit more off axis?

Regardless, I’m just going to throw my head under tomorrow and hope that helps.

Carve more and really drop that left shoulder/head. Also getting your left hand closest to the ground as possible can help. Almost to the point where you’re doing a hand drag. Just getting comfortable in that position helps.

This, carve super hard and deliberately touch the ground because you are carving so hard. If you set it super hard you will almost do a lincoln loop

this is my advice, not sure it works for everyone but yeah. carve harder and harder into it each time and commit to the dip, soon enough you'll be rippin em really sideways and believe me it feels really natural when you do it right. it's not one of those awkward, fight against physics kinda tricks

Your last attempts look good u just gotta bend ur knees more during the trick so that when u throw it more corked it will uncork you

I do lots of 3's, usually on natural terrain but occasionally on park jumps too. When there's a good takeoff for it I like to carve them and it feels a hair off axis but never really anything I'd call a cork 3. Can I really just carve them harder and dip the head more and work my way up to it? I always kinda figured Cork 3's were a commit or don't even bother type of trick tbh

yeah i agree it seems weird but it worked really well for me at least. i basically just went from flat base takeoff, normal 3s grabbed safety, slowly but surely evolving into full on motionless deep corks and i just did it by carving in more and more each time and getting those feet up there as you start the grab

i'm bad at visualizing stuff in order to explain it to someone, but for me i feel like the intermediate step is kind of a tips-down 3 with a wide stance and your feet pulled up a little for the grab. i feel like you've entered legit cork 3 territory when it's not just your feet pointing down anymore, your belly is opened up toward the ground mid trick and your feet are up near/above your head. and honestly once you're there you're hyped, for me c3s come around 100% more reliably/less sketchy feeling than upright 3s and you really don't lose sight of your landing for very long at all

eventually it got to the point where i did the hand drag on takeoff and that's dope. helps set the trick and is fun as fuck/easy to make look good. so if you feel comfy with hand drags you might try that if you wanna commit hard to it

idk it's kinda a weird trick so idk how much stock i put in my way of learning them if someone else says different. but that's how it went down for me and not to be a dick but my cork 3s were fuckin fire when i was doing them all the time

dude you're right there, just start throwing your shoulder more and more until you find the sweet spot. I know this probably won't work for everyone, but I know some people recommend pole planting into it because it kind of forces you to throw your shoulder a little more. but you got that shit lightly

Will report back tomorrow, thanks for all the advice!

Remember to really bend ur knees next time and if you want to go more corked just focus on seeing the landing the whole trick. When you get really corked it can feel awkward and ur brain is gonna tell you to open up but remember to keep those knees sucked in no matter what. Have in your brain that you would rather die with tucked knees than open up under any case and be prepared for it to over-rotate to 5 thats a common scenario that happens. You (unlike many posts I see here) have a good takeoff so as long as you commit you will do it, or at the very least come close. Good luck my dawg

Today was my last day out here and never made it out of Canyons side of the resort. Will return when I get a chance to try it again. Back to the hot south for now.
