First College Semester

Graduated high school 2 years ago and haven't gone to college yet. I'm starting in Fall this year at a community college.

Signed up for an 8 week online English class. Its English 1 (This introductory course in rhetoric emphasizes clear, effective written communication and preparation of the research paper.) at this school.

I'm wondering if 8 weeks is going to be to difficult since its normally a 17 week course, and being that I haven't been to school in two years. Anyone have any experience in this?

Checked Rate My Professor and the teacher is supposed to be very good. I've also heard online classes can be more difficult, but I have nothing to go off of since its my first semester.

Thanks for the advice.

I would think an English class online would be ok, the biggest problem with online courses I've had has been group projects

An eight week course really shouldn't be that difficult, dedicate yourself to it and don't be a fuck up

i took an advanced writing class that was a whole semester crammed into 3 weeks. at one point i had less than a week to complete a 12 page paper, along with other assignments at the same time. its more work at the time but its definitely doable, especially if you just buckle down a bit

I guess I should also add that I'm taking a 5 unit math class and another 3 unit class. Figured I could just knock out English real quick, since Math is harder for me.

Online? That sounds like it'd work terribly.

Imagine all the fun of a regular one without the ability to tell people to get their shit together in person
