First Chair 130s

Been riding some Scarpa RS 130s as a do it all boot for a few years. I'm gonna be doing 90% resort this winter, and I'm now touring on my tele setup, so I'm thinking about getting a dedicated inbounds boot. I haven't seen much about the stiffer variations of the FC, anyone got any time on them? I've never rode a 3pc boot like the FCs, and I figure it would be fun to try.

I ride a 10 flex tongue in my first chairs (which is the 120). I tried the 12 and hated it, it felt like a straight brick wall and hurt my shins when I tried to push into the boot (and I weigh 200 pounds). The 10 is awesome though, it’s stiff but you can still lean into it a little to drive skis really hard. By RS I assume you mean Maestrale RS which I toured in for 2 years. The 120/10 flex feels pretty identical, with the initial flex of the Maestrale just being a little bit softer (very quickly ramps up to the same as the 120 FT tongue). Definitely go to a fitter though because the RS is 101 wide and the FCs are 99 so they’re definitely narrower.

Meant the Freedom RS, not the Mastrale. Little older. They're definitely too wide for me, but I got them cause I was broke and needed something with a touring sole that I could work in. I'm definitely on board with a narrower boot. Just gotta find a pro deal hookup.

Go for it. I dig mine for sure. 20/21's are like half price everywhere and there's no difference this season (as far as I know), so worst case scenario, feels too stiff and you buy softer tongues for 50 bones.

I have the FC10s from the season before but I am riding the same pro tongue liner that comes in the new ones and I also have the 12 flex tongue so basically the same boot. Honestly switching from the the pro wrap liner to the new pro tongue liner was a game changer. If the boots fit your feet I would definitely recommend the pro tongue. Its also a good bit stiffer so it makes the feel stiffer.
